reseated everything, tried a clear cmos from the 2 pins on my board, removed the cmos battery, tried a different graphics card, removed my Coolit eco cooler and installed the stock AMD one after of course re-applying thermal paste.

Also tried one stick of ram at a time and ran my system as bare as i could just to at least try and get to the POST/BIOS screen but nothing seems to have worked. Apart from having a spare motherboard to test i have done as much as i can.

 

Try a different power supply. if its some OEM piece of crap dont bother installing the Graphics card. When my rig first died it did the same as you (no display) and turned out to be the power supply.

Well I ditched that girl today. Was honest with her, just said it didn't feel right, which it didn't. Had no real urges to see her, in fact it was feeling more like an inconvenience.

The PSU is an OCZ 500w so not the greatest or the worst but should be good enough to power a single GTX460 and a dual core phenom II.

Did try and different PSU (Enermax 450w) with an 8400GS i had in case it was my PSU that was busted and not having PCI-E power plugs on the 450w so not wanting to use only molex adapters with the 460.

 

PC dried out, all is well... My SSD works again though it would probably fail again too doh.

 

Backup your files, just in case.

 

hehe no need - Only the OS, Page File and Temporary Internet Files are on the SSD - everything else is on my WD1002FAEX.

 

What SSD are you using? I've heard good things about the Vertex 3.

 

Is my CPU is dead? noticed 2 dark patches when checking the pins but i have no idea if that is a good or bad thing since i have never come across this before.

Am I wrong in diagnosing this as a damaged panel? The large line and huge blot make me think that the cable hasn't come loose. I haven't bothered taking apart as I figured it's quite obligatory what it is...

 

The election has been won by Red Block , so I am pretty happy now yeah I know I have been quite quiet about the Danish election. But all is good now, so Denmark will for the first time in History have a female prime minister which surely probably is going to be Helle Thorning Schmidt , from the Danish social democratic party.

I might be having second thoughts about this girl...

So she came over and were playing Mario Party 2. It was me, her, and two cpu players (who cheat btw!). I was Wario, she was Peach, and then Mario and Donkey Kong were the cpus. We were midway through the game when it happened...

We both had 2 Stars. Donkey Kong had 2 and Mario only had 1. She rolls and comes across a Boo and has a chance to steal a star for 50 coins. WITHOUT EVEN BATTING AN EYE she scrolls down past Mario, past Donkey Kong, right to me and STEALS MY STAR and sends me into last place.

I was just like, wait, what?? It took a second to sink in and said, "YOU STOLE MY STAR??"

"What?? That was you?? I thought it said 'Mario'!"

"I'm WARIO!"

Long story somewhat shorter, we laughed the entire rest of the game. She was pretty embarrassed. She said it was an accident. Don't know if I believe her. She did end up winning the game though....

I had something like this happen before. I knew a girl that was really into King of Fighters. She went to my place, we played, and she got closer and closer (hugging and whatnot) every time she beat me.

And well, we wound up in bed after I "lost" several matches in a row. Some gamer girls find it very sexy to defeat you, I guess. That, and arcade sticks. Arcade sticks are a pussy magnet when it comes to geek girls.

Anyhow, maybe it was a flirty "stealing your star" thing, to see if you, if you may, could also um.. steal her star (wink wink) or something.

The more i look at it the more i think it looks like some sort of grease.

Going to see if i can get my motherboard sent in for RMA as if i can get it sent for RMA i'll find out if it has a fault or not. If it's not got a fault then i'll have a little bit better of an idea of what's up.

Would seriously consider upgrading some parts(do have a good reason to spend money on new parts) but since i can't be 100% sure at the moment on what is at fault and since i can't afford to spend the money on the parts i really want i will leave that idea alone for now.
