Lol, well that's good to hear.

I also have some girl news. The girl I referred to in my earlier post came over last night. We just hung out and played Super Smash Brothers for about 3 hours. And she brought me tacos. I think I may have found a winner. :)

I know right?? She's the only girl I've ever been able to play games with. And she actually gets into it. Every other girl I've been interested has thought video games were stupid and for boys or whatever. But here she is wanting to play round after round of both the N64 Smash Bros AND Melee. haha

Been wandering around campus until 2am with friends, drunk and happy Lol

Had to watch out for those police patrols, I'm not used to not being allowed to drink in public. Back in Europe nobody cares if you drink out of a Vodka bottle on the middle of the street, I feel like a Russian in this country.

I also noticed that some scenes of the 1st Butterfly Effect movie were shot here on UBC campus in Vancouver. I've seen this movie more than 5 times and know every scene by heart - now I watch it again and some of the locations blow my mind. They're just 5 minutes away from where I live (like where they talk when he's in a wheelchair, or the street they walk down when he's a frat boy).

Been talking to a lot of Chinese girls only to find out what kind of culture difference there really is in the world Lol. Really interesting... and sometimes surprising. She told me almost everyone fakes their grades in China, but it seems they are not aware of cheating as a moral issue.

"No no, we're cheating only because average is so low". Yeah Lol, same here, but I can't cheat in Germany... Apparently schools are willing to increase the i.e. Math average of students in their final transcript about 20%.

"Chinese schools want students to go abroad so they help us cheating" <- that's a quote of a Chinese international student.

A friend told me she had 60% and now she's got well over 80% and is eligible to enter the advanced 1-term Math course. I had honest 77%, so I have to take a preparation course AND the regular Math course in the summer.
    So much for honesty.

China screws everyone over and knows no rules. I am excited to see where this leads to.

(Not referring to anyone here, but as a result of a "friendly" discussion at a local business)

Why are the most vocal political people usually the most empty-headed? Granted, I have a bit of a psychology background, but is it so hard to imagine, even in the smallest measure, that the "other side" might feel as persecuted as you do?

I don't think empty headed people have anything else to talk about. Or politics seem like an intelligent thing to be concerned about. Or maybe politics are stupid and birds of a feather flock together.

Some chinese dude living here in Sweden once said he thought Sweden was in some cases too communistic, lol. Partially because in Sweden every child gets food in schools, for free, and he thought that was a way of trying to replace the the parents in a way.

Getting involved in politics is opiate for the willfully ignorant masses....

Just saw an article in Fox saying Obama is sending troops to libya... only sent four uniformed members to survey the damage of the embassy at Tripoli, just no official word yet from Obama if he will send more "troops" to Libya... 99.9% of the comments in that online article do nothing but blame Obama for creating another Afghanistan.

Stupid people should not reproduce... at least mainstream media points them out more clearly...

Except you got some other unmistakable signals don't get your hopes too high up yet. I've had that kind of situation (super fun to hang out with, saw each other many times a month) and it didn't necessarily end with a romantic night Lol.

I'll do something with that girl from my floor next Saturday. We're both new in Vancouver, so we're looking for some exploration in the city centre... recommendations anyone? Nightlife also possible.... otherwise I'll have to google my ass off.

True, true. I'm not even looking for anything romantic. She's the first cool girl I've hung out with in a looonng time. I'm not gonna rush anything, I don't wanna mess anything up. lol

    I'm so unlucky/clumsy I swear.

My 2nd SSD died.. whch replaced the fiirst which died. I open my case to RMA it but in doing so I knock the drink from the other side of my desk which spills across - right down the fan vent at the top of the case -_-

Luckily no fan is there so it was covered by various things I'm still too lazy to pack away, but some got in and the PC died lol.

I unplugged everything, will let it dry out for a day or two and see what happens.

Bad luck man on the ssd, had a similar situation with a regular HDD. Also bad luck on the PC but hopefully it works again.

Having serious problem with my PC in that it powers up but i get no display, basically tried everything i possible know to try and fix it or diagnose the problem but it's not worked. Thinking i may need a new motherboard which also means new ddr3 ram but it could be something else although i have no idea what is causing this fault.

Reseated the ram? I moved my case once and it bumped against my desk and the ram came loose (how I have no idea)

I haven't bothered dealing with it yet to be honest - had to rush around today sorting out train tickets for London tomorrow (having an fMRI and doing other tests as part of a research project), it is my grandfather's birthday today and also my rl best m8 is in Afghanistan under attack as he is an ISAF electrician (having previously served in the Army with REME) http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-south-asia-14897358

EDIT: Oh you meant 3do :p
