I think you can figure that out on your own. On that though I'm merely speaking from the government viewpoint. Personally I'm somewhat torn on what to do about the situation. On one hand I think Wikilinks does have the potential to do good but on the other I think that they are both too reckless and somewhat biased in wanting to stick it to my county just for the ability to do it. I also believe that these charges are suspect and that my government trying to change the laws just to nail him is BS.

I absolutely think though that the PFC that released the material should be executed for treason. He took an oath and then betrayed his country. Assange and Wikilinks did not.

    A. Snow: I do NOT believe in capital punishment aka. The Death Penalty, cause it is a CRYSTAL CLEAR violation of the human rights, but the problem is this UN is just as corrupts and useless as the predecessor to the UN was, since USA is pulling the strings in the UN, which makes matters worse, also the UN has altered something which I am going to give you a link to in a few moments, that happens to fuck with the LGBT area, as motherfucking usual.

U.N. panel cuts gay reference from violence measure

So fuck the UN, and their bullshit !

That Assange thing is OBVIOUSLY someone important manipulating the law to keep someone imprisoned unjustly. Happens to political opponents in Mexico all the time, since like 50 years ago or so.

It, in fact, happened to an uncle of mine down here who was with the Communist Party in the 60's and 70's. Suddenly, the federal police "searched" his house and stole everything he owned, even his two cars - and held a gun to his baby's head until the wife told them where he was.

He was almost imprisoned for "drug smuggling" or something similar, even if he was innocent, because the Communist Party was a serious threat to the government back then, and generally, Mexican governments just follow orders from the north.

He managed to escape to another state, hidden in the back of my dad's car.

Are you telling me through an underlined message , that the Mexican government is taking orders from the USA ? Cause then I am not surprised.
I am just disappointed in them.

I would have loved to meet both your father, and your uncle, cause both of them sounds like to be the coolest dudes ever :)

My uncle is still around, fortunately. He has awesome stories from being on the run the 60s and 70s, and from studying to become a surgeon in the USSR.
    He also looks like Gandalf.

    Communist Gandalf, anyhow.

I'm interested in what his thoughts are about Communism today. Is he still a believer?

Yup, he's still active, though now he's much more of an armchair communist now that he's 76.
Thanks to him, my city has a couple options for free universal healthcare (The Civil Hospital). He was never able to return to live in this city, though - now he lives in Mexico City (which is a left-leaning city, politically).

Most of the members of my family are communists still. We are a very left-wing family, and while that's gotten many of us in trouble, we stand strong.

And I actually think, that Luke Kelly was in some ways a socialist, if I am NOT mistaken with another Dubliner, but I am fairly certain I am not. So get yourself drunk, and begin listening to Irish folksongs with The Dubliners, and well you know my political view :)

Okay people, I have just heard and read about what happened in Stockholm and what does the Swedish news say about casualties , other than the bomber himself. Since Danish news says nothing about casualties, except for the bomber himself, and it is only BBC who has said something about casualties, which smells like stirring shit up, so can a Swede tell me something I do not know ?

Its getting too fucking hard to live with my Grandma. She snaps when I don't let her do things (wash up make a pot of tea etc) But when when I don't do anything she kicks off then that makes me kick off. She will also use anything against me. I haven't had a girlfriend for a while and sometimes when we've had an argument she'll use certain anti homophobic comments against me. She also really fucking hypocritical and will kick off if I stay in my room all day. But then when I want to go out I have to either be back for tea at half 5. (We go out at a little after 3 so basically cant go anywhere far.) or if she is actually lenient eight o clock (which is okay). I genuinely think she's beginning to suffer from dementia and its a little scary. All she cares about is basically what she wants and the only thing she is ever thinking about is what time a program she wants to watch on tv is on or where she is going to get her next packet of sigs. She will ring my aunt in the early hours to ask if she will go to the shop for items. But then at the end will always says ''Oh and sigs''. Its just her way of being stocked up.

I "broke up" with a girl today. Thankfully I got the feeling she didn't really like me either.

Been there, Hawanja. My latest relationship failure was this chick that I met when she was 15 (she's like 21 now) - and slept with me the first time she went to my house (already aged 20, mind you). We "dated" for about a month, all during which she was "late" (so she thought she was pregnant). The moment she realised she wasn't, she changed her relationship status on Facebook - to be in a relationship with some other dude. That's how I found out.

The other dude doesn't really have a job or a steady income, so in case of being pregnant, I was more convenient to support her. But responsible men with good income and education are booooring when it comes to dating.

    Cosigned.

Which, for the intelligence/security community in the Untied States, is probably going to turn out to be a big mistake. Not sure what profit they see in this.

Assange didn't personally leak anything or even encourage anyone to leak anything. He's also got a public identity, and he generally conducts himself like a journalist.

    The alternative to him? Anon.

This is where Openleaks is headed, people leaking anonymously TO the anonymous, who then anonymously publish/host/mirror the data. This will greatly encourage the act of leaking and make leakers much harder to catch because the people they are leaking TO will never know who they are.

The DDoS attacks were dumb though, IMO. If Anon wants to make an impact "against the man", they should put out one of their little videos (i.e. Chanology) that says the following:

"We are anonymous. If you want to leak, you can now do so safely. If anyone wants to leak information, please be sure to transmit it in X fashion over Y channels (i.e. public WiFi + TOR) so that you don't get caught. We will never know who you are, you will never know who we are, and we will ensure that the information reaches as wide an audience as possible. We will publish freely as we cannot be identified and have no fear of reprisal. We can deal with any leak, government or private, and we can deal in any language or data format."

I really, really like how there's whistleblower platforms popping up everywhere right now. No single project resulting in a potential single point of failure - just give your material to two or three of them and it'll definitely get out there.

Agreed on the video idea, people need to know how to safely leak stuff and I haven't seen a single dumbed-down "Taking A Leak For Dummies"-style tutorial out there yet.

I miss video-game music in general. Mitsuda hasn't really made anything awesome since Xenosaga, and even that was not close to his best work.

Now almost every game sounds like a Hans Zimmer infused macho movie. I've played the shit out of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World because the music is SO fucking awesome.

Sega Games generally still have that awesome old-school stuff, too, but it too is not as good as it used to be.

Visa, Mastercard and PayPal all enable donations to be made to US-registered groups funding illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank in defiance of international law.

Talking about double standards any one ? when they went apeshit about wikileaks. And to the idiot who closed down the bee killing thread, should wake the fuck up, cause XerdoPwerkos reply was the God damned truth, and NOT any kind of USA bashing, since in the past CIA fucked South America, a LOT up. With promoting the so-called American democracy. So whom ever closed that thread, heck even if I like the moderator. Should open his fucking eyes, and know the history .
