From a look-to-you-future-point-of-view I wouldn't, depending on what you plan on doing after 6th form. It might be an interesting subject, but its something you can easily look up on the net if you are so inclined. From a higher education POV if you go that route it is fairly worthless. I doubt in school, at least from my experience, there will be anyone to hold decent discourse with. Usually they have 'X=Y' POVs, unless you have a teacher that actually has a passion about the subject beyond what their school, the current textbook on the subject or their religion has taught them.

Talking about religion in general, I just don't understand the arguments for it. No offense to people, believe in what you want etc but my (hopefully balanced) interpretation of all the evidence presented provides a logical case for evolution and thus it provides a counterpoint to every religious text - that is all nature we see was created as it appears now. The different interpretations of religious texts lends credence to the opinion they are fictional works, written long before the universal availability of information that has manifested with technology in the 21st century - only those religions that adapt to their believer survive. Not to mention current technology was developed essentially at the behest of Catholicism and the inquisition.

There is of course still mysteries in the universe: what gives matter its mass etc, but reductionism has brought us this far in comparatively very little time - it will be interesting to see what will happen if/when we 'work out the fabric of the universe' (god is in the details) - more mysteries or is that it? Or even is it something capable of explanation, reductionism, or even comprehension ? Yes I have been drinking :033:

Why, oh why, do I feel like loudly singing 80s and 90s anime openings just right now?

I have to go to bed, because I have to teach an early class. But no, no, It's Ideon and Votoms and Slam Dunk for me.

    Nice.

Wrong version of the CD.... IF you're using an x-08 CD/Key on an X-13 key/cd then it wont work. you need to match them..

That will just cause more issues down the road. You can download the correct version off most torrents without the stinking warez shit.

Yeah, if you have a legitimate key to use on it, you want a real unmolested disc OR a copy of one (you should be able to find a clean .iso files from your favorite torrent site).

XP doesn't care what the disc looks like, it just wants the key to work on all fronts.

Don't download operating systems on bittorrent (or any other unverifiable download) unless you're really, really sure of the source. Very quick way to become part of a botnet.

Isn't demonoid a public tracker? If so that's exactly the kind of place I'm warning against.

I suppose you're correct... it's still a lot better than TPB. I like the fact that they mark some torrents as "external" when it's from another site. Demonoid still requires registration on the normal invitation basis.
I've downloaded about 3 different untouched Windows discs over the past few months, one a couple times as I kept deleting it (how often do you think you'll need XP Home? Bleh). I'm still standing.
But I'm also in the USA.

I also use PeerGuardian on my computer, which makes me feel pretty safe.

PeerGuardian may help you not get sued. That's not what I'm talking about at all, though.

People inject botnet payloads into pirate copies of Windows operating systems and upload them on public trackers. It's an incredibly easy way to accumulate a reasonable sized botnet, which can then be used for DDOS attacks, to send spam, or fished for logins (WoW or whatever), financial details, etc.

This is so very true, but there are a few good people that upload legit iso of this stuff.

I wouldn't touch tinyXP, or 9in1 XP CD, etc.

I see. Why didn't you just say that, instead of "That's not what I'm talking about..."?

Because I said in the first place that this was a "Very quick way to become part of a botnet" and assumed you knew what that meant.
