I'm not sure if the systems I get have been tinkered with but none of them have fans. There all OEM so im not sure if they came without fans or if theyve been yanked out. Needless to say paying £3 plus shipping for a shitty akasa fan with LED's is not happening. Where can I get them cheaper?

 

Why are some muslims so annoying?

Is it the fact they ripped off the Bible even though the Bible is supposed to to be unalterable text? Nope

Is it because they are reverted or converted and want to do the same to us? Nope

Is it because they keep their communities closed and do not integreate effectively with their host nations? Nope

Is it because many are self employed and subsequently involved in fraud in one form or another? Nope

Is it because their religion preaches modesty but many gravitate towards bling and prestige? Nope

Is it because the foreign nationals play the race card here for the slightest issue but if we go to their lands we have very few rights? Nope (Particular note in the UK is is wrong to to say British Jobs for British (White) workers, but in Africa it is OK to say African jobs for African (Black) people?)

Is it because some want to blow themselves up taking us with them? Nope

Is it because there are many sects but only one is allegedly correct but each sect think they are the correct one? Nope

Is it because even though each religion has a noteworthy point, they fail to see that each and every religion is fundamentally a system of control and full of shit? Nope

Is it their inability to grasp even the simplest of stories in their religious texts? YES!

The number of people who rush out to buy dates annoy me somewhat. The story is Mohammed broke his fast with what he had to hand. What he had to hand were dates. This does not mean you have to break your fast with dates.... but by what chance has provided for you

 

Perhaps the same could be said of all religions.

Still, as someone who was beaten up in school (run by a "secular" ex-nun who married a christian) every day for over two years, for things like eating a ham sandwich on a lent wednesday or friday, or for not having an ash cross on my forehead some religious day, or just humilliated by christian children and adults for a great part of my late childhood, I do jump fast at things that attack religion but leave Catholicism and Christianity out.

FUCK literal interpretations of text, FUCK ignorance, FUCK systems of control that cause people to hurt and humiliate others, and FUCK all those unable to grasp even the simplest of stories in their religious texts.

FUCK all religious bigotry and those who practice it.

The biggest problem with religion, other than the way it manipulates people, is the way it is passed on. Children are told it is there religion by their parents. They are never given a choice. By the time the children are older they are either a zealot, non-practising yet still get irrationally upset by a minor insult (take all the shops that do not close for jummah then get irate about a drawing of a prophet) or in the very rare instance made up their own god damned mind. The problem is the other 2 groups do not really get much room to manouver as it is all they know, or what they have told is the truth so they accept it as such.

Children should never be allowed to study religion. They should learn about it when they are good and ready to make a decision which one is right for them if any, and that would mean they should need to be a legal adult to do so. By all means pass on your cultural teachings and let them have a good sense of morality, but one of the bigger problems with Islam for example is culture and religion have become deliberately blurred.

If you are going to teach a child religion, you should teach them about all religions and it should be the responsibility of the parents to do it and to do so in an equal and impartial manner. They should most certainly not be allowed to say, state or imply this is what I believe, so this is what you believe.

I know a chap who is a religous zealot. He is also a good man but I find it hard to believe he believes everything good he received in life is because of god. One day we were in discussion. We were talking about injuries etc and he said everyone that faces death prays to god, whether they are religious or not. I had to take the feather out of his cap as in each of my crashes or times when I've been stabbed or drowned or other crap I've never once prayed to god for any help or any reason, never even said or thought 'oh god' etc in such circumstances. The look in his eyes and his reactionw as scary, more so hecause he a good foot taller than me too hehe.... I don't understand how he still sticks to his guns on this issue despite me nearly dying so many times and never having done so but that is brainwashing for you =/

Personally, I don't really care what any god has to offer, even if they did exist. I will bow before no one or thing. If it is my destiny to rot in hell for trying to be a good citizen, then so be it, but everything that has a beginning has an end, so that would include any such tortures of Hell and their precious god and heaven too. I think any god which still craps on you for trying to live a moral life without worship or servitutde isn't worth shit either.

 

I just had some sort of an argument with an aquaintance of mine through gchat.
He's offended because he translates the fact that I don't go out with him and his girlfriend as me not caring about them; when in fact it's due to the fact that I'm unemployed and can't afford to go out to eat or to the movies every weekend.

It just bothers me, because if I can let everyone do whatever the hell they want and I can be understanding of other people's situations, why is it that I get nagged about such a minor issue as not going out?

Fuck it. Fuck him and his idiotic way of letting people know what he thinks. What he doesn't know is that his group of "friends", the people he always sees and goes out with all think he's an asshole and don't give a shit about him.

 

I hate religion and I agree with pretty much everything you've said, however. I believe it's wrong to try and remove religion from somebodies life, the people who are weak enough in mind to believe such shit are just generally weak and it occurred to me a few years back that some people depend on faith just to stay alive.

Take for example an old lady who lives alone with no family or friends and hasn't got long left. God might be all she has and to take that from her would be cruel.

If you were to remove religion somehow from the life of your friend he would probably end up flooded with fear and a lack of direction.

I agree with slowly attempting to get rid of it, especially in childrens lives but arguing and disputing it with an adult who is fully into their chosen relief could be dangerous for you or them.

My best friend was a devout catholic and yet also a very smart guy, he's a genius when it comes to science and technology. His catholic beliefs often got in the way of our friendship. His whole family practised Catholicism to the extreme, his grandmother in particular, she'd undertaken a pilgrimage to see the pope when she was in her twenties.

Anyway five years ago his gran was diagnosed with bowel cancer and she died in pain. His mum and dad, prayed and all of that shit and dealt with it, the children including my best friend who was 18 at the time began to severely question the existence of god. Because it was all he had known when he finally dropped the religion he had some real issues and has never been quite the same since, he now has a very jaded view of the world and suffers from anger issues. Once he had faith, hope and a reason to live (i.e the afterlife) now he has nothing.

Hopefully you can see what I'm saying. Some of us are blessed (pardon the pun) with the ability to accept life and universe as a bit of a mystery and just get on with it. Some of us however are not. It's exactly the same as how some of us are more susceptible to depression, addiction etc.

So yes, religion is a bad thing but don't go on a hate crusade. Take a look at your neighbours and friends and consider the possibility that just like a child who is born a crack addict and needs methodone to make life bareable, they may need religion to deal with life and existence.

People suck (a majority of them, anyway) and religion sucks. But cats and chocolate and videogames are fucking awesome.

Its just that.. It is so fucking frustrating when others don't understand that THINGS FUCKING CHANGE... I am not the same person I was 2 years ago. My life changed, my circumstances changed, I CHANGED... Is it too much asking that people stop rubbing it in my face.

And yeah. People suck.

 

What bothers me is people let religion blind them and control them. as a christian i don't believe it is my job to convince, judge, or criticize anyone because of their beliefs. regardless of their beliefs, orientation, lifestyle, whatever, i was taught to love them. in all honestly, i really try to treat others how i would want to be treated. love your neighbor as yourself. i try to keep it real and i try to keep it simple.

 

I live my life pretty much the same way. However I don't blame people who do get a little ticked off with organised religion now again especially with all of the wars it has caused etc.

What really grinds my gears is people who get swept up in the media and news and start religion bashing when if they really sit down and think about it it probably doesn't affect their life at all. If you start analysing stuff too much you can argue that everybody is affected due to war budgets affecting the economy and so on, but in reality all an individual has to really worry about is what goes on in your street, neighbourhood, social outlets and work place.

I avoid the news and tabloids whenever I can. We here so many things on the news which shock and annoy us and we get ourselves into such a twist over them but if you didn't have a TV or radio and you just got on with your own life nothing would have changed, if anything life would be better.

I guess my point is, so many people spend hours everyday complaining and worrying about world affairs and spend very little time taking a step back and looking at their own personal lives.

Ignorance truly is bliss...unless of course a nuke lands in your street, then it might be a good idea to turn on that TV.

The EMP would only be that strong on a large enough radius if it was blown up in the atmosphere. The bomb would most likely detonate on impact with land so the EMP would be pretty localised
