Ok, I'll agree with you there, the exclusive pre-order bonuses are getting completely out of hand.

I am planning to work in game industry in the future, but those sales targets are ridicously high

There are publishers that spent 40 million in a game + the same money or more in marketing for a triple A game, and need to sell 5 million copies just to pay costs, just like Andre, the CEO from Atrativa Games said in a speech in my University.

I think that some people are having a bigger salary than it should be, and the marketing spent is somewhat useless, they should think on another alternatives, I guess when there is already a significant number of players of a game, there is no good reason to do a massive marketing, because the increase of the number of potential buyers can be very little, just like my friend said, the public estagnated.

The DLC exploration is also an problem, we pay 60 dollars for a game, with cut content in a purposed lucrative manner, just to be sold as a DLC.

If everything continues like this, we could see another crash I guess, but not worser than the last one, thanks to the indies and new markets, such as Brazil.

Hmm I quite liked Resident Evil 6 on single player and I'm looking forwards to completing it on co-op mode in due course.

It isn't quite as scary as the original games but it is a decent enough game in it's own right and it does have its moments. Each campaign has a part where you fight the Rasklapanje which is a little freaky. On Leon's campaign I spunked most of my pistol ammo with no joy so I had to find 3 keys whilst being chased by a few of them. It wasn't until I found the Bear Commander to use the Grenade Launcher attachment on Chris' campaign before I had an easy way to kill them, but death doesn't last long for those folk which adds a little bit more of the horror atmosphere to this action game.

My main gripes really are that the DLC is shit, the creature mode *should* be fun but the enemies are to difficult to control due to a ridiculous amount understeer and general unresponsiveness etc. The split campaigns is a big improvement over Lost Planet 2 where you switched faction every other mission without knowing who each character is or why, but a single campaign with a proper introduction would have worked much better. Also they have taken a leaf out of Konami's Metal Gear Solid book of tricks by having a cutscene, making you walk a few steps press a button and face yet another cutscene all in quick succession.

Overall I like this game, especially on PC in 1080p60 on Ultra High settings with an Xbox 360 controller, but yeah 4.8 million sales is by no means a failure, unless of course they are losing money hand over fist, in which case, meh.
