Many pages ago I was complaining about my start menu not opening, and explorer crashing badly to the point I had to restart. I've fiddled with my BIOS, and I've enabled Windows 8/8.1 Startup options. Which is basically quickboot, since then I haven't had much issues regarding my problem. I'll watch it closely every day to see if it appears again.
Non-ribbon, 64-bit transitions of 1992-era software (with small detail touch-ups for Windows 2K/XP). Given how ancient most of the programs are, I can't help but wonder why they decided to port them to x64. Most useful of all: 64-bit classic MS Paint can be a resource hog and handle 8K(+) resolution pictures.
