Looks like this guy picked up a /ton/ of Indy's that were from Akklaim and friends, ended up finding the Turok source code

"Jimmy the overly touchy orderly"? That's probably not the video you intended to post...

    How about this one instead?

And that's what happens when you toss up a thread after an all-nighter and don't double check what you post

    Ninja fixed though

Not a fan of those "clip collections" from shows myself. But I really need to binge-watch all of Scrubs at some point. Great series.

Back on topic, it seems he's "only" copying files off those machines. Which is a good thing to do, sure, but if stuff like this is right out in the open, I wonder what else may lurk in the unused/slack space on there. At the very least, I would expect some older versions of files still present. He should probably better be imaging all those drives...

edit: in his previous video he mentions wanting to make images - "if there's enough room".

WOW, awesome discovery! Hopefully the source code will find it's way to the WWW. Dreamcast port anyone :)?

A Dreamcast port would be amazing.

OMG, we neeeeeeed this. I am the self-declared biggest Turok 1 fan ever. There is no game like Turok 1, not even the other Turoks.

2017 is looking like the year of Turok! We got an official level editor a couple of weeks ago (on Steam), and now source code?? Life is good!

He's apparently auctioning all the Indy's off on eBay

Time for a fundraiser to buy them I suppose?

I wonder if any of the cut content is in some of those files and I have played the demo version of Turok at ects and I'm not a game developer.im just a gamer and I got a ticket from someone I used to know.the ai was much better in the demo version.

It appears so. One of the audio files he played wasn't used in the final game, and the song he played appeared to be using uncompressed instruments and was missing the dinosaur roar in the song. There are still references to unused content in the final version, just no actual data to go with it.

I'm curious how exactly the ai was better. Was this the version you played?

Do remember anything that stood out to you? Weapons, sound effects, music, ui, development cartridge, etc.

IANAL, but since he now has knowledge of there being copyrighted material on at least that one machine - can he still sell it without it technically being copyright infringement or sth along those lines? This is assuming a) he didn't delete those files and b) someone cares enough to sue (which, given the recent remake, may be an actual risk, who knows).

The fog was denser better ai but I could not hear the sound it got drowned out by other things. There was no intro and a different title screen that's all I can remember and one more thing I remember small larva pits.

boo on the not releasing the files, But awesome on the offering to sell the systems onto others that will hopefully be more willing to release the files and allow for archiving of the data using the largest backup source in the world, the internet

He already listed one on ebay. It's from Sculptured Software and has mocap software and Nintendo Ultra 64 development tools.

So he's just passing the buck and why didn't he bother to contact the developers of the remaster to see if they wanted the source code and just 20% going to charity how about 60% you tight fisted git.

Might be a dumb question but do you need the Ultra 64 board to run already installed Ultra 64 tools?
