Turok: Dinosaur Hunter Source Code

You never know, once that machine has been through enough hands, the risk of being of tracked down/called out as the source might get low enough for someone to change his mind. Fingers crossed.

Yeah I agree with "Your money, do what you want with it", however, if all guys who work with technology, for example, if all of them would follow this philosophy, we would never had access to such amazing tools of today, softwares and technology in general. Our current state of advancement in technology and software especially is thanks to guys who like and love to share technology with others. Anyway, I also hope that someone would like to share the Turok N64 Source Code, because it is trully a treasure, and something epic, it makes part of the evolution of gaming technology in general, as it was one of the most advanced 3D FPS Games on it's time. And I am trully willing to port Half Life to N64 using Turok's Source Code.

So these are great news!!! Maybe this guy would trully donate the Turok Source Code for Archive Preservation!!! So now there is a chance of us getting our hands on this source code someday, maybe very soon!!! WHAT AWESOME NEWS!!!

I trully apologize to bump such old thread, however no news on Turok N64 Source Code? Has the guy of this Indy Workstation uploaded the source code somewhere? So no chances on getting our hands on this source code?

 

Havent heard anything. Perhaps they found someone through the grapewine; or FBI found them first xD

 

The original finder explicitly stated he wouldn't release anything, and afaik none of the auction winners have come forward with anything. The latter might still happen, but how likely that is is anybody's guess.

 

From what i've heard through the grape-vine, this is now "out" there.

I haven't managed to actually get hold of the source/ROM/s yet.

 

We've found 3 ROMs so far in the source. One appears to be a very early alpha/test of the game engine. There are no models, and if you view the map, it's just a tiny triangle. Here's a gif of what gameplay looks like:

We had hardware tests confirm that the gray isn't an emulation error.

 

Has anyone had luck compiling this from source? My attempts have all failed.

 

Anyone know which playable builds accompanied the source materials, beyond the gray void one? I know a development cart with a Build 33 was sold a couple of years ago.
