    (sorry for my bad english)
In this story I'm telling true facts,

you are free to believe or not to believe

in my country there has always been a great traffic in the game industry because of the people who worked for the houses of video games and the fact that my country and a little out of this world and in the countryside ( done on purpose to keep hidden experiments in video games ) , these video games were not the usual games on the market games but still under construction and unknown , to remember the times of the playstation 1 and 2 games that I played on the prototype of the console sony, I also played a nintendo 64 in development called the ultra 64 was much more powerful than what we know (they are still in possession of this console .) Recently a friend gave me a console unknown at first sight are in a case of a computer and turning it on I found out that an xbox and testing it and much better than normal. My friend says that the microsoft beginning of 2000 he sent a small number of people console prototype to test them and can not explain why Microsoft has put the components of a console in a holiday pc.I think of owning one of this fact in writing there MEC 19/01/2000 (my friend said that the abbreviation MEC is microsoft experimental console, but is not sure because it is that time microsoft did not give him much information just to test it and told him not to disclose to the public)

this and all the truth which has long wanted to tell
you are free to believe or not to believe

    a greeting from mrtino93

    I call bullshit.

This looks like a modded xbox inside a PC Tower with a custom bootscreen (at best, we don't even know it's hooked up to that monitor..).
This might be a legit xbox though before the boot animation / final case was complete, but even then the case looks fishy.

In January 2000 Microsoft - to my knowledge, did not test the console externally. Even if they had you have no games to claim it's "better". Seeing how they only pitched the idea to game developers in August 2000. In June the first XDKs were shipped and those were still custom PCs. No xbox motherboard was made at that time as it was still in development - they only finished that by August and shipped that in early 2001.
Your picture shows one of the first retail units though, seeing how it's Conexant and has the fan. But it's probably not even a development machine seeing how it only has 64MB RAM.
This machine would serve no use during development. Not for the game developers and probably not even for Microsoft.
The DVD Tray also looks odd.

The story is also crap, yes Ultra 64 was going to be the name for the N64 but there is no secret testing area which is commonly used by all manufacturers. And yes, they were probably very different, seeing how Midway V-Unit was a different design from the N64 and mentiond the Ultra 64 + it also says "Nintendo" on the cabinets.

May I ask where you live?

//Edit: The MCPX seems to be "X3" too. Another indicator that this was done, once retail machines had been out.

That was never a logo the Xbox used. Why would the use that logo, but then use the final font on a DVD rom drive? Like Fox is saying, it is using final hardware when there would be none designed. None of the information matches what was going on in actual, documented Xbox development at the time. All around BS.

If it were an actual "MEC", of which I have never heard of, you would think it would be an early debug board. This is nothing more than a retail board though. Besides, the earliest name was DirectX Box, not "MEC". I would have to think even with some stretch of the imagination the boot logo would be something closer to the original Xbox logo like this:

That looks extremely unprofessionally installed too. The board clearly is touching the case, if you look at above the PSU socket, it's right on the red metal. I agree, this is just a customized xbox put into a case. Original Xbox kits I believe used normal PC power supplies during development didn't they?

I call bullshit. This is not a prototype from early 2000. Why? Even if they had the hardware down by January 2000 they still didn't have the final console case and board design down. The Early Alpha towers used standard PC components at the time. The DVD ROM drive has the bezel from a black retail console on it. I know they didn't have that on the early Alpha towers. Look at the board. It's obviously a retail 1.0 system. Only 64MB of RAM and has the MCPX3 chip. Dev kits used the MCPX2 chip. And what about that PSU? They didn't have that design until the console got to the final prototype stages. That was after January 2000 for sure.

This is a retail 1.0 put in a PC case with a TSOP flash to look like a custom boot screen. Nothing special here.

Yeah, pretty sure that was just debunked to oblivion. No replies yet from the OP doesn't bode well either.

The special country he is from is Nigeria. They have many secret labs there. I just got an email stating that I have 1 million dollars waiting for me there from one of these businesses but I have to spend $50,000 in embassy fees to get it out. Can't wait and seems legit.
