Just updated my GD-EMU to the latest firmware and menu. I'm still getting an error when playing Chu Chu Rocket. After playing the music for a couple of mins it doesn't loop, so the game is silent! This is easy to replicate by gonig in to the 1player challenges and jsut waiting. By Pressing Start to pause, and then Start to un-pause, the music restarts it's loop. This makes the game unplayable for me :(

Are you using a good full sized .GDI rip of the game? I've got no problems here (latest firmware) music keeps going.

Thanks guys for the feedback. I am using a full sized gdi from a set. I’ll try to find another one to see if it makes any difference, cheers

is the 12v regulator still an issue with current GDEmus and does disabling it affect video output on a Pal dreamcast (using the Hanzo VGA box for output)?

If it does affect video output on a Pal unit, would adding a resistor help instead of disabling the regulator? Would it even cause overheating if video output on a Pal unit requires part of the 12v?

@madsheep Many thanks for v1.10, it has fixed pretty much all the issues I’ve had with the app. Nice work!

I've gotten a spare Pal PSU to disable the 12v on. If anyone knows of any video or other issues this might cause on a Pal unit, it would help a lot to hear it.

as far as i know 12v is for gdrom only. you dont need it for gdemu. but you can also put a 300 ohm resistor one leg to 12v rail and one to gnd and the psu will produce the same heat as if gdrom is used.

I've read its for the GD rom drive only but saw one complaint about video output, I asked on the GDEmu blog and I think it was you that replied, or someone else that saw my post here and said what you said. The maker of GDEmu replied too and said it may affect Scart RGB output if I disable the 12v, which I don't use since I have a VGA box. At least, I'm pretty sure it won't affect that.

The resistor method is probably what I'll do.

Just add a 300ohm on the gnd and 12v point or install a pico psu or dreampsu board. The resisitor will give the same result as with removing the 12v resisitor/transistor from the psu.

This whole heat issue is blown out of proportion, which i tried and tested it years ago.

Yes, it does spike the voltage, since the ode does not need 12v at all to run (little more heat occurs) but it's not like its gonna blow and catch fire.

thats true, deunan himself says the diference in heat is small. but the best solution for me is to replace the psu with a pico and have a real cool running dreamcast

@madsheep. thanks for the latest version of you GD_SD CARD maker, but every time I extract it, my antivirus detects the .exe and deletes it, with this virus: Trojan:Win32/Tiggre!plock

This doesn`t happen with your v1.05 that I had from before. Any help on this?

@Spec what the antivirus you use? If is Avast, remove this shit from your PC

I've been having the same issue with Trojan:Win32/Tiggre!plock on the GDEmu.exe file for all versions on the last page of so. I'm on Windows 10 w/ Windows Defender. I'm been allowing it for now after Googling and seeing that this is a common false positive.

I had the same issue, and uploaded the exe to virustotal before running. It showed a pass with most of the well regarded AV packages, and the few warnings that did occur mostly recognized it as random different threats, so it seems like this is a false positive as mentioned.
