users experiencing "problems" with delivery of items bought from gavroche...

heyho... could anybody who has bought (and not yet recieved) items from gavroche please get in contact with me via email (through the profile) or icq (5964955)... i am getting really pissed by not getting any feedback and feel that we need to coordinate.

iam also one of the victims and i think there is someone else from uk who has also the problem (if he has not solved it yet)

 

i'd not call us "victims" yet, i still trust luke to deliver the goods, but i dont feel like waiting much longer if we do not get full qualified feedback from him.

 

I bought a gamecube NR reader off him on eBay, which took a while to arrive after the one on the auction was misslaid or something he said, but did arrive in the end. But had a 120v psu and no av cables as stated...now i got hold of a 240v psu and cables etc i turn it on to find it wont boot either of the NR games included...emailed him but no response yet.

 

I'm in the UK and I bought one off him. It took ages to arrive, but it did finally and it was fine. NTSC as advertised, so was the game.

 

alchy: thats not really the point here. we know that luke does good business, but right now he is sitting on about 1800 euros from zappenduster and me for nearly 2 months and does not even bother to reply to our questions. i know that there are problems with his business partners or something, but thats no excuse for going dark. i would at least expect to be updated on the current status every few days. :|

i think you can stake that money up to at least 2500 euro with the third member that purchased something from him

gavroche didnt answer to my various emails or pm and my last msg was from mid jan. which means now over a month without response =(

we just try to get more informations so we can work out a solution for this

i bought a nr reader from him on ebay , after a month had passed without any nr reader , he told me he would send replacement. know whats funny ? the replacement unit was exactly the same as the one pictured on ebay.

oh yeah , to also ripped me on the shipping. i payed 37GPB for a package that cost him 13GBP.

hehe I've had from him - he was slow as ass to ship, but I did get exactly what was promised in the end

 

The ebay shipping thing drives me crazy.They don't seem to notice/care that the shipping costs get printed on the package.

Nothing more disappointing than finding a very cheap auction. Double checking it to make sure everything is in working condition (and that you aren't just buying the box, or as-is crap)... only to scroll down and see 60 dollar shipping. heh.

 

If you want to talk to gavroche, then I'd advise hanging out in #consoletech on EFNET on IRC. Why not go into #assemblerirc at the same time?

 

he actually only lives about 10minutes (by train) from the house (although im at university at mo)......hmmm

Anyway, if you want to e-mail him/her, or write, or talk on just about any online messanger, then I can post details, if you want them!

 

Gavroche has not responded to any of my e-mails. He owes me $1123.93 in goods, most from November of 2004.

He does not come into #ConsoleTECH anymore. I am in the U.S.A. so I don't have the kind of recourse that you guys overseas do.

Needless to say, this man is one of two people who does not send things out after they're paid for. The second will be revealed if he does not make things right either.

It is fair to say that Luke Ashley Twydell does not know how to handle his money or his customers in a proper fashion. He hides like a coward when he has taken money that we all worked hard to get. I urge all forum members NOT to do business with this man.

He still has his chance to straighten things out however. Should he come through on the delivery of the products, I post it here. I won't hold my breath on this one.

Sorry it has come to this Luke, but you can't treat paying customers this way. If you ever plan on selling items anywhere again, learn good business practices.

 

i got some days free from work at then end of march and i am thinking about getting a flight from germany to uk since there are some cheap options (49 euro for 2 way ticket) so maybe some of the uk members can meet with me and we try to get the stuff directly
i have no real problem to get other peoples stuff also to a post office in uk since it looks gavroche/ luke doesnt have the money to send the stuff out (i really hope for him that he does have them at all)

I hope that he still has our stuff, but at this point I would not be surprised to find out that he doesn't.

 

Im going to file a claim with eBay about my NR Reader and Discs as either the reader dosent work or both discs dont, the auction stated they booted fine..but they dont..

 

About the NR Reader not reading discs - are you sure that they are both the same region? Is it an NTSC reader, with NTSC discs? US I'm guessing.

As for Gavroche, didn't he claim that his contact in the US hasn't shipped? I hope that's not the case, because it would be even harder to get hold of them!!!

 

Its defo a PAL Reader and both discs say PAL on them..so guessing they are PAL, im getting a few more games that I know are PAL and have been tested soon, so should be able to confirm then.

 

I must admit I have never purchased from Gavroche....but after his not to pleasant
replies to enquiries about the pile of stuff he had for sale recently......and also a few people I know here have passed comment to me on the HUGE delay`s and HUGE postage costs I out of principal wouldn`t make a purchase.

I do hope those who are outstanding items either get them soon or a full refund!
