That's a lovely Impreza you have there, Gonzo. How does it cope with the cold?

 

The Impreza handles the cold very well, as long as the block heater stays powered overnight, it starts every time, even in -25c and colder.

also Turbo+AWD+ Studded Rally Snowtire = Very fun winters here

You will see it on older vehicles , but unlike eastern Canada, we do not Salt our roads in the west, we use 'soft' gravel , which actually get recycled every year, and only used in the busiest areas that tend to ice over badly.

I have had two cars over 15 years old with only minimum rust starting to occur in the fender well. All in how you care for them I suppose.

 

It's time for another drive around Japan. This time I'm off to the big city!

Taxi driver ran into me, and my car is in repair at the moment.

 

I hope the taxi company paid

 

Luckily I have insurance, I should have my car back this week. It's so weird not having a car, even though I just had it for a month.

 

How bad was the damage?

 

It was rather minor, it's just the damn wait time.
