When you rent a place in Japan (assuming that he's renting a place), leaving the walls alone is the best idea... lest the real estate company decides to charge you $1000 to replace the wallpaper after the find the smallest of marks on it.

Very nice! Your PC is a monster, lol. Its specs make me jealous^^... I'm still working with a 512mb RAM 240gb 3000+ AMD one. Never had the ambition to buy parts or a new system but the slowlyness really annoys me sometimes... often. But I want to wait untill university with the purchase of a new one - which is going to be a laptop I suppose.

    Very nice 64DD as well.

My current Nintendo Gaming setup, missing Cube, but Wii does all except GB Player and LAN.

Additionally I have the current gen systems (Wii, 360, PS3) and the better last gen systems (DC, GC) connected to my projector, ah, progressive bliss. (Wii is hidden behind the chair, a 3rd NES is hidden in a cupboard)

I have a Mega Drive and a Master System 2, but no games or only RF-connection, so they are stowed away.

Hey! thnx for your good words!! :D
Btw i don't think you should buy a laptop if you want to use it as your main pc.. Laptops suck when they are bought to do the job a main coputer would. They can't be left on all day without the fear of overheat which means no overnights torrent downloads and so on. I would not recommend it if you want it for serious use. ^_^

They have their SCART cables beside them because I have to switch between them due to my TV only having RGB in SCART port 1. Now I understand RGB SCART properly I can't stand using any other input. The PS2, Dreamcast and Saturn share the same power cable which I swap between them when required. Pretty good setup IMO.

    cez, sweet setup!

I presume that 360 is NTSC-J, very wise decision. My PAL console is near worthless because no decent games get released here. :|

Nice clean set up ou have there, shaolin242. I don't know about the center speaker though infront of the screen. That would put me right off looking at the screen I'd imagin.

actually when you are sitting on the couch it doesnt get in the way at all - it sits below the screen on your line of site.

Ah, in that case it's a fantastic set up  I'd love something like that but with a family it's not an option at the moment. money and all that.

To be honest Yakumo nothing i have there is overly expensive but i do get what you mean with having a family.

The amp i bought as an ex demo model so was just over half price, same as the speakers.

i can thoroughly recommend the following set up for when you want to upgrade:

AMP: Harmon Kardon 247 (This is the hDMI amp you need for the ps3 so you can encode PCM 5.1 - with toslink you can only do PCM 2.1)

Speakers: Infinity Modulus in Black. (Same as mine but look way better).

These speakers are MUCH Better than JBL but are at the entry level Infinity range.

Just FYI the speakers go Infinity > Harmon Kardon > JBL (all are owned by the same parent company)

95% of cinemas you go to in the modern world will have JBL.

My speakers are PERFECT for gaming, they arent floor standers but you dont need them.

My amp weighs 15kg and subwoofer weighs 20kg. the sound experience for gaming is incredible, its great for blurays too. i didnt spend too much on cabling as im not some audiophile millionaire.

The one place my set up is let down is my tv - its just adequate. its a 1080P 42 inch Phillips...but i bought it 2-3 years ago. id LOVE a new LED backlit samsung or a new bravia XBR 46 inch...but yeah im not going to upgrade just now...it can wait.

PS: u live in japan, so you probably have access to a MILLION things i would be so jealous of right now lol. and if you can speak/read japanese then id be even more jealous! ;)
