Update: Western Power is now after her for unpaid power bills.. Update2: She damaged the power box.. ( No power to the place ) Update3: Insurance company will now be after her as well.. Update4: I'm sure she will love being caught by the company's who have the power to make your life, living shit..
Update: Apparently the insurance denied it because "The claim was too early".. Time to name and shame.. HBF The lady on the phone simply advised "I can't prove that the claim was made right away"..
They thought it was a suspicious claim (I don't see why I'd do that to my own property) So they got it investigated, the investigator even told me that I was genuine. (Should of got that in writing) Called HBF, what do you know, it was claimed to soon and I couldn't actually prove when this started to happen (Since I didn't know it was happening, since I wasn't let in the property) Anywho Update: Got mail today addressed to another name of hers "Jayne...." Looked at it through a light, what do you know, "overdue bill" apparently she bought storage somewhere and is overdue $300.. Funny enough it said that the storage has been overlocked and if she doesn't pay, goods will be seized.. ( Going to love when they open it and find trash )
Ah insurance companies. Give Me Give Me Give Me your money, time to file a claim, What this is fake, we're not paying! :dammit: Can you take them to court if they don't honor the claim?
^^ @subbie: What they are saying really is, maybe the house was like this before you joined us.. I could easily argue in court that, "Wait a minute, its your job to check before you allow people to join?" but I've been in enough hassle, so I just went along and paid for everything and DIY a lot of the repairs... Will send pictures the resolution of the house later.. ( Looks much better )
I think that's bullshit. You should threaten to sue your insurance company. Isn't that why you bought it in the first place?
Yes and that is bullshit. You have a valid court case against a former tenantthat you evicted and have court documents showing damange done by said tenant. I think you have a valid claim for a lawsuit against the insurance company for not honoring your insurance claim. They pull this **** all the time. You shouldn't let them.
To be honest, I'm not actually in the mood to bother anymore. A court case with my insurance company would be a waste in my time, as it is I've been doing a load of things when I should be at Uni listening to lectures.. But alas when I finish Uni I'll be moving to Canada, some Australians might agree that Australia is a corrupt country with no real advantage, if a council can't even keep its grass maintained.. Something must be wrong..
I remember once, a long time ago. We used to live in a building in which one of our neighbors had a small poodle dog with hip and bladder problems. The dog would pee on our doorstep every day once or even twice a day. One night, my dad was coming home from a party he'd had and he found a big pool of dog urine on our door. He decided to take matters into his own hands, and being a man of action (I take that after him, he really made me the way I am today), and accounting for the time -it was 4 AM in the morning- he went up to the man's door and peed on it. We never found dog urine on our doorstep ever again. The same man with the dog, also ruined another man's suit by throwing away on to the entrance of the building a bucket full of water, dog urine and BLEACH. I was eyewitness to that event and it was one of the bizzarrest things I've ever seen. So,if you have a dick, go pee in your tenant's door every day. And take some B vitamin supplement. It really gives the smell an edge.
On other news.. I have about 3-4different names they have used.. The one above being his accurately real name... ( Coming from the government )
As somebody with a pretty much chronic need for injected vitamin B, I can vouch for that. Also, Asparagus does the trick as well. ... This post, should you ever have the need to piss on something.
Physically opening the letter would be fraud, that's what a external light source under the envelope is for.. -.-
As opposed to an internal light source? It's good to hear you're really laying down the hammer instead of getting walked-over and just taking the blows.
Just finished going through this thread and I feel for ya man. About 15 years ago my parents owned a rental property given to my father by his mother and the people living there trashed the place much like these nutbags did yours. Their reasons were likely just as much BS and they ended up doing so much damage that when sold the place wasn't worth what it cost to repair. Here in California though, it is EXTREMELY illegal and inadvisable to turn off the power, heat, water, change the locks or do anything that can be remotely considered reducing the quality of life or affecting access to the property someone has signed a lease to - even if they have violated the lease. Eviction procedures are well spelled out and must be followed. As a victim of an illegal eviction I enjoyed having the law on my side when my bitch of a roommate changed the locks and then ran off with my $700 security deposit (which I still haven't been able to reclaim). Shame deadbeats are even allowed to be born.
Either way, I would of gotten away with throwing them out.. (Since the signature on the paper isn't that of who they are..) Update: Received a letter from her bank, on her real name.. The letter seems to be impossible to read under light.. Sending all the letters back to the return address "Does not live here". Court case is coming up soon Anywho, I'm really interested in destroying her life now, she is what gives Australia a bad name..
