Lol, WTF? I have completed several games with it and there's no disgusting grimy shit in the cracks at all  Lesson #1: Anyone has to wash his/her hands before entering your room! BTW: There were gold, silver ect. GC's at 2001's Space World? I only remember the spice orange one and that's also anything to be found on this picture I googled: Still there was an actual gold GameCube released in Japan - which is pretty rare nowadays, I still want one. Far less common than some of the limited editions like Gundam, Hanshin Tigers or ToS!
There was a gold GCN shown at Space World, but it was 2000, not 2001. I think a golden GameCube was later released, but only in Japan.
I swear it was 2001, it was in my nintendo power preview the same year they showed the Zelda video. There's a picture showin the white and ruby one that never came out. We know what happened to the Ruby color though
if I remember right they showed white, silver, black, purple, gold, ruby, and maybe the emerald one. If someone had a nintendo power subscription in 2000 or 2001 they could definatly shed some light.
This sheds some light on all the colors of the Gamecube that were released: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ngc/color/index.html I believe they had a limited edition white Gamecube in Europe bundled with Mario Strikers as well. I'd have to say the ugliest LE console would be either the Heineken Gamecube or that Hulk Movie Xbox (aka the Mountain Dew Xboxes).
I quite like the Mountain Dew LE:redface: Worst would have to be the Hello Kitty XBox and the Dreamcast RX-78, I think mostly because they look half-assed. I like the pink and blue Hello Kitty Dreamcasts.
They Pearl White GC is very very common here in Europe! Almost as common as Platinum/Jet Black. The Gold GC (Starlight Gold) was a Toy's R' Us Japan exclusive, and it's pretty god damn hard to find these days :/ The Club Nintendo Mario/Luigi/Wario controllers was actually released in Europe. As far as I'm concerned only a 1000 was available... I got the EU Mario controller, will post some picz later if you guys wanna' see.
There is also the clear (seethrough) controller that was released with the "Enjoy Plus Pack +" bundle in Japan.
I tried to list all GameCube versions ever to be released in January 2009. The dev items are shortcuts and probably incomplete, I'd like anybody to contribute information on this subject esp. on the dev-part as I'm not the biggest pro around concerning Gdev. Here's the list: PAL GameCube Black GameCube Purple GameCube Purple GB-Player Pak GameCube Silver Resident Evil 4-Pak Metroid Prime-Pak Mario Smash Football Pak Donkey Konga Pak Tales of Symphonia Bundle mit grünem GC (France-only) Super Mario Sunshine Pak Zelda: TWW Pak Mario Kart DD!! Thx Ave! Looks great Think I'm gonna stick with PAL though... About your list, in US there was a Pokemon XD - Gale Of Darkness "Pak" and in France there was a The Sims - Bustin' Out "Pak" Pretty sure there's some more, I have missed. I think Kaori got em' all though
I added the well-discussed Heineken GC to the US section and seeing you only listed consoles I only added the DDH (and not the GW and SW) to the dev section. Apparently there is also a special TDEV developed by Intelligent Systems according to subbie (link: http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4803&). Never saw one, but added anyway. Would love to get my hands on one of those! Oh, and on a side note, the TDEV is not necessary an SN-TDEV. Developers had to buy the TDEV off Nintendo and needed to acquire Metroworks Codewarrior (+BBA) or SN Systems ProDG (+USB interface) to work with it. Only the latter is called "SN-TDEV".
