Which obscure Xbox release do you feel will become rare/valuable in the future?

I played it a bit more last night and I have to agree!
An unexpected surprise too, as I generally hate complex strategy games.
As I mentioned, this reminds me of a souped up Neo Nectaris / Military Madness clone set in modern times! Really good stuff.

Nocturne is already rare and obscure, and...popular?

Well I've heard that Nocturne was hard to find in the States, but here there was a reissue of Maniacs in March or something like that. The game still sells for a bunched used, but it really isn't hard to find. The plain vanilla Nocturne isn't hard to find here and the Deluxe Set is priced pretty decently. Writing this, makes me want to pick them both up.

9 on the Xbox was I guess popular for an Xbox game in Japan, but that ain't saying much really. It can be had for like 9 usd or 20 usd for the Deluxe, I think. It doesn't play like any of the other SMT games since it was suppose to be an ORPG, but it's still interesting.

SMT Nocturne is $54.73 something in the States, new. I saw it on sale for $39.99 at Gamestop FOR JUST THE CD. Why did this rare, somewhat obscure game become so popular? I remember people in EB games crowding around me as I told them the tale of the SMT series and how Nocturne is actually like the 6th or 7th SMT game. I know theres a whole lot of em'. And did you know it wasnt the first time it came here? Oh no, it was on the GBC, Revelations: the Demon Slayer, and then theres Persona (Not sure which came out, first). It was like a demonic version of Dragon Warrior, and they made some kiddy-ish titles for the GBA here as well.
This place has all the info you could ever need.
    Best...site...ever!
    Awesome coverage on rare series'.

No, some guy brought the series up. Its for the Ps2. It might go to the Xbox if fan demand rises to the occasion.

rare and not crappy are a hard combo. usually the most rare would be edutainment crap.
    Then there is "in demand".

    Like radiant silvergun

I'd say it would be a good idea to stock up in the metal slug 3's, and probably more important the fatal frame 1 and 2 for xbox.

Dragon Force, if you can get by the confusing controls...or pretty much ANY WD game, because of the way they do business. Sell a game for two friggin' months and is hard as shit to find in stores after that.

Nope only SMT9 came out for Xbox.

Nocturne is the third game in the series thats why there should have been a big old 3 in it's title in the US release, also it is of course a redeux with Dante and what not that is called Maniacs over here. Then again it supposable doesn't follow SMT1 or SMT2, so that I guess is alright. Seems they pulled an FF with it.

The other games you're refering to are side-stories and what not outside the main story arc (that being the SMT arc). I don't know much about the GB series, but those were like Devil Children and (I think) Last Bible games (with the exception of III). They had the same themes, but were unrelated, same thing goes for Persona 1 and Persona 2 Eternal Punishment. Heck you could in a strech stick Maken X and Maken Shao (Europe only?) as western releases as well. Then there is the new Digital Devil Saga arc. DDS I'm guessing got the SMT title on top because Atlus USA wanted it to ride off the success of SMT3, or at the very least start building the Franchise Stateside (after all it is still in the family).

So I guess it's easy to make the confusion and call it the 6th game and what not. In the mainstory arc though, there should be just three games currently, just SMT1 (SF, PS, GBA, TG, MCD), SMT2 (SF, PS, GBA(?)), and SMT3(PS2). SMT3 doesn't really follow SMT1 and SMT2, but thematically its the same, and frankly they called it 3. SMT9 for Xbox is just an offline-ORPG that seems to be unrelated. In fact the 9 isn't in reference to iteration, but to the 9 possible alignments. Actually 'SMT If...' may be stuck somewhere in there, but I'm not sure about that, seems to be a side-story. Some have said that Majin Tensei could be an alternative story branching directly off of the main-arc, but I think that is too much of a stretch.

    Oh yeah nice site find.

    Air Force Delta Storm

AFDS was a launch game from Konami, follow-up to the Dreamcast Air Force Delta. it is already obscure and rare since it went out of print, and should become more & more valuable as Xbox is phased out in favor of Xbox 360.

    Yes, yes there is.

It was suppose to be released for PC with it's actual online component added, but it seems like they canned that plan, since they've got Megaten Online to release.
