Which obscure Xbox release do you feel will become rare/valuable in the future?

Its my understanding that Toejam and Earl 3 had a fairly small pressing.

 

hi all 1st post here there are a few rare pal games i have none of these had a huge print run and are no longer being printed.

marvel vs capcom 2
toejam and earl 3
jet set radio future
panza dragoon orta
house of the dead 3
burnout + burnout 2 point of impact

 

Uhm... Panzer Dragoon Orta and Otogi pal are really common in PAL as far as I know... I've got both and have seen a LOT of copies of both..
Street Fighter Ani Collection is still buyable in stores in sweden and most of the other titles go real cheap on ebay.uk so I think you are wrong

and these games did not sell well at all and have not had re-prints i stand by it

 

The "Not for resale" internal games from the microsoft store are pretty rare... only a few hundred copies of each.

 

Of course "rare" does not always mean "valuable."

I can come up with many a "rare" title with a small print run and horrible sales record that isn't worth shit today as well as many a "valuable" title with a healthy print run yet decent demand.

The xbox, the Sega Pico of the collectors market... Very little will become really valauble... although stuff might become rare. A conversation like 'what's your rarest game on the xbox?' Well I have this Japanese Mahjong title... 'Well is that the time? Must be going...'

If I ever see a person wanting to collect all the Xbox games then I will beat them around the head with a dead or alive joystick. :lol:

LOL I have recently set that as my goal.

I now love the xbox. The fact that most parts are replacable with PC componets, its easily moddable, and can run any game off the HDD makes it my favorite console.

I am going to collect as much as I can but I dont think I can ever get it all. I hope that someday Windows 95/98/2k will be running on one of my xboxs

 

No, but the copy of Halo that came packed in with the green Halo Edition console might be. It had a sneak peek at Halo 2 included on the disc and "not for resale" verbiage on the case/disc

I want Windows on my Xbox... so I can run older windows games and stuff like that on my TV.

Granted the DOS emulator thats on XBOX is great and the fact that you can already run Windows under Wine but its to slow due to being emulated by Whine.

I want a full Windows version that will boot with the Xbox like its a PC. There is some great disscusion on it over at Xbox-Scene in the software area of the Xbox1 forums.

 

I wouldn't think it was possible (Windows being closed-source and all that), much less desirable, but fair enough.

 

That would be kind of cool for old games...

 

I'd say only the very first batch that was subsequently removed and to be replaced by censored press...
