Of course, Nintendogs + Cats was the main first party launch (easy to see how I forgot that then!). It was the fantastic but short Pilotwings Resort plus Ridge Racer that I had at launch. I picked up Tom Clancy shadow Wars up shortly after launch too. Mario 3D Land is an amazing game, a VB one would have been awesome too
Got a Wii on launch date after all the hype and having fistfulls of cash at the time. Don't really regret it as I've had some fun with it. It was a fun morning really. Went to a department store in the mall that opened earlier than EB. There was only 2 other people there which was odd considering the line outside EB. Walking past that line Wii-in-hand while they were still waiting for EB to open was fun. Because I'm so cheap I generally don't buy hardware here when it launches (or at all if I have a choice) because Australian prices are stupid. Will usually wait a few weeks/months until supplies over in US/JP stabilise a bit. I paid like $550 shipped for a launch Japanese PS3 when it was being priced close to $1000 here and hadn't even launched. I felt pretty lucky to get that (friend somehow managed it) considering all the stuff that was going on.
Got the PSP Vita at the launch date while on vacation in Tokyo. I thought it was gonna be harder to get, but found one in a small shop in Akihabara... accessories were crazy expensive, so i waited until i was back in Hong Kong to buy all that stuff
PS1 N64 PS2 360 Wii Saturn: Imported before launch Dreamcast: Imported before launch I agree that it is mostly a waste unless you are reselling but I think everyone should do at least one overnight launch at least once.
Dreamcast UK £289.99 from empire stores i had mine a day early. came with Sega rally 2. best console I had.
Same as LeGIt here... In any case the launch date in my country is usually later than anywhere else, so..
Ha! Don't mention Sophia! I don't have the energy to pull her apart and finish off those caps! :witless:
