That's actually because Greek women are equally hard to "conquer". No wonder elsewhere I find relatively easy to date virtually any girl.

Here, tell this joke to a girl... surely she will love you.

What is the definition of "making love"?

GodofHardcore I've got a pretty good idea of where you're coming from.

Add me to the list of people with woman troubles and expect a largish rant some time tomorrow evening when I turn down the opportunity to spend the night drinking and otherwise carousing with two amazingly beautiful women.

This is the stuff that my dreams have been made of for the past year now, but I honestly don't think that the situation between us will bare it and I think I love one of them to much to take the chance.

Dammit I know what I should do, but it's so hard to do it.

The worst is when a girl leads you on.

"Oh yeah, I like you, too."
"I guess the feelings were kinda one-sided."
"I think I was just flattered to have a guy like me."

from my experience, if a girl accepts to buy you a drink (provided you bring it up in a cheeky and cute way), then you re sure to have a bang ;)

    A) Diddydonn - didn't realise you had a degree in music! Well, well nice one. You work with MIDI on Mac/PC?

    B) To GodofHardware. Diddydonn's advice is probably the best you'll get anywhere and I second it. Frankly, being a divorced father of 3 I have mixed feelings on women and love. It's not always a bed of roses and "the one" might not be "the one". In life you just gotta take the punches and learn to stand up to the bad things that appear to be happening.

Single life from a teenage / early twenties perspective always sucks as it feels like you should be with someone, that someone should care about you and that without it you are perhaps lacking something. Forget that!

If what you are saying is right, all the girls around you aren't exactly your type either. Who's to say you won't be walking up Mount Everest and meet your partner? You just never know.

    C) I had loads in common with my first wife, but we were completely different people and incompatible. How we never noticed until we were married I'll never know. Actually, if I am honest I am certain we knew but made the famous mistake of either ignoring those differences until they bugged us stupid or thinking we could change one another. Fact: You cannot change another person. They need to want to change.

    D) I should stop writing lists like it was a training manual...

Until you find someone decent, who appreciates you for who you are, your values, your moral stance, your gaming interests, your sense of humor and all the little things in life like the way you smile and stupid stuff women like (such as your arse or your hands (?)) then just enjoy life!

The way I look at it, there isn't always someone out there for everyone. The right women are like that hard to obtain, ill to define, strange to operate development kit few of us have managed to get their hands on. When you do a lot of people look at you like "wow, nice one!" whilst others think "what is that?" as not everyone is attracted to the same development kit. Even when you get there not everyone will be happy for you as they are idiots and will be either jealous or not understand.

Carrying on the analogy (wished I hadn't started) don't always assume that the best looking, all flashing lights, hooters and dials development kit is the best fun or even the right one for you. How many times have I met some really good looking women only to discover that the hardware was great, but the software was pretty boring!

Go for whatever makes you tic and be ready to punch (mentally) above your weight to get the one you love. All that "not in my league" shit is utter rubbish.

If you see the vast majority of people around you going out on dates and going out with people, just remember they've all probably grabbed for the first thing to come along because they are even more scared to be alone that you are. These people go for retail kits. Available to everyone, a lot less interesting and easier to obtain. Is that really what you want? A good woman is one you have to wait for.

I know you never asked for advice and frankly it won't help as being on your own does hurt when you feel it's personal however having been with my new partner now for almost 5 years now I can say hand on heart that we met when we least expected it and it worked despite her thinking my gaming habits are a bit weird.

Another great, long winded but great post parris. Best advice yet.
I think you really need to be comfortable woth yourself and with you being single to realy appreciate a relationship. I know a lot of people that out of emotional instability cannot bear to be alone and will be with someone whoever it may be constanly just to avoid loneliness.

I don't agree at all. Perhaps Xania is different because it's a tourist town, or perhaps it is different on the mainland. Or maybe they are more picky with Greeks than foreigners!

Also: can you guys quit it with the wife beating jokes?
