Seriously, I just don't understand the desire to listen to (standalone) music. I mean purposely listening to a radio, a CD or going to a concert, especially repeatedly. Background music (for ambience) or a car radio (to keep you awake) I can understand, just not the separated stuff. For those who are wondering, this came from the wasted (my opinion) 1/3 of "The Daily Show" where they had the White Stripes performing. Thoughts, opinions?
"The Daily Show" had a band perform on the show?? Since when did they do this? ANyway, meh. Its all about being in the mood. I purposely listen to it everyday.
Since today. Though Stewart's comments regarding whether or not they "sold out" (i.e. got paid) were hilarious.
Well obviously I never got to see the program you are referring to, all I will say is... ...Music is my radar!
Hmmmmm I get high of music, and it makes me expand my horizon in many ways and my creativity , and I just love music
I just enjoy it, I guess. I am, however, getting sick of the current "lolzers musik is my lyfe" trend. Playing an instrument does not make you a hardcore musician, people. Maybe that's just in my area, though.
When I get my own house, I'd like to play Saxophone music or something in it. I dont like much of the "current" music, but Im still getting into it. I really like the older stuff or just those instrument "collections" you can buy at stores.
well, at least its music. isn't that the only thing rap is about, my friend? you forgot to mention "narcisism". look, if you're trying to get your opinion down the throat of the others, i doubt this is the best place to do so. And this is a music topic, so you are talking off-topic
The damn emo trend needs to die, the My Chemical Crapance and the like just needs to die or something. Seriously. Better question is why do people like the crappiest bands/groups/people in each genre?
thx for the reminder. i forgot to ask you if you could kiss my ass before you got banned last time. now seems to be a good oportunity. now im glad youre back. im sorry for the one who started this thread though. he didnt know you where around and so stupid to try to get your opinion down into others throat...on internet.
Nah, it's just a matter of preference. Some people like rock, some rap, some country, etc. Personally, I like a mix of different music. A little rap here, some rock there and so on. We're all entitled to our own opinions, though I don't see the point in talking down on someone for listening to a certain type of music.
That's quite a good point.....i asked that question myself a few timers too...but since the first times i got into music (ah those good old days listening to the radio...), if i dont have it its somewhat "empty", around me....lonely, without colors..i like listening to music because its entertaining...
i think that's like saying: "Why do people watch movies?" "Why do people like Art?" "Why do people play video games?" "Why do people like other people's compagny?" Life have no sense, but it's still fun. That's it.
