Why Hello DOA 5 where'd you put the boobage?

DOA 5 is coming ps3/360 thankfully not Wii U after DOA Dementions I was worried it would end up on the Wii U

Who approved a DOA trailer without boobage? That's like... un-natural or something.

 

I never thought I'd say I miss Itagaki...but I miss Itagaki.

Joking aside the gameplay mechanics seem very refreshing if there is anything to decern from the trailer

You cant have a serious fighting game with backgrounds that busy.

 

That's what I'm worried about. Fighting games are down to the skills of the players not from the background damage from the players bad luck.

 

I Think DOA has been fighting the "Serious Fighter" battle ever since the Saturn.

 

Dead or Alive has always been about background damage every since the first game. You can't class it as a Virtua Fighter or a Tekken ust as you can't class The King of Fighters as Street Fighter. True, Dead or Alive is a 3D fighter but the aim isn't all about split second timing as with Virtua Fighter it's more about over the top action. It always has been.

Anyway, I'm still looking forward to it. I've always liked the Dead or Alive games. I've also always liked Virtua Fighter but the strange thing is that Tekken has always annoyed me. I just don't like the style of the game play.

It's a pre-alpha trailer. so don't worry. I think this was more focused on "environmental changes on the battlefield"

 

I don't like the blurry flashes that appear every time someone gets hit. It just adds unnecessary visual clutter. DOA: Dimensions was like that too, and it annoyed me. Other than that it looks good. I too am disappointed by lack of boobage.

 

Why are you thankful that it's not also on the Wii U? It would probably be the same game but with a couple added Wii U exclusive features.

Because if it was on the Wii U the other versions would be held back or feature some crap that we don't want. Then again, Tecmo may have just given the Wii U the finger and done a half arsed port. Anyway, playing a good fighter on the Wii U controller would be awful. You'd need to buy a stick for sure.

if it was on the WiiU it's almost certain it would be graphically superior so maybe they didn't want to have the other consoles appear weaker. *shrug*

 

So it wouldn't be that different from the 360 and PS3 versions!

Me likey :nod: Battering the shit out of Dimensions on the 3DS at the minute so it's a nice little stop-gap til the 'proper' game appears.

As far as controllers go the PS3 controller is pretty good for fighters with a nice clean D-pad, unlike the awful D on the 360 but anyone who's serious about fighters probably owns a selection of sticks anyway so it's a pretty moot point.
