I just had a thought... imagine a Dead or Alive game without boobs. What would be left? Sure, a really fun fighter with amazing graphics. But still: no boobs.

Seriously, I've played every DOA game and never realized there even were male fighters. Who would make a DOA trailer with ONLY guys??
    :D

DOA 1 only had 3 females Tina, Kasumi and Lei Fang

Ayane came later in DOA +

    LOL So true though!

I like the "idea" behind Dead or Alive : Dimensions on the 3DS......reason alone to get a 3DS. I must admit I dug out My dreamcast the other day & was playing DOA on that.

Ayane and Bass were first introduced in the PSX version of DOA1; DOA++ came after that.

I'm working on a breakdown of the trailer that will hopefully get Team Ninja's attention that people want a game that plays better. At the moment, it's 1:1 DOA4/Dimensions, which were not good for competition.

Wasn't DOA+ based on the PSX version?

Kind of..? DOA++ is a completely different game though, not just like a port which you may be assuming.

I didn't know that. How was it different from the PlayStation version? And what kind of hardware did it run on? There doesn't seem to be much info about it on the net.

So apparently DOA 5 is to be considered a "fighting Entertainment", meaning more spectacle and crazy stages.

It's sort of like a half-step between DOA1 and DOA2 but I'm not really familiar with it. It runs on the TPS board, which I believe is Playstation based. It's never seen a release outside of the arcades unfortunately.

What's refreshing about it? Besides the super move, everything is recycled from DOA2. DOA needs to move forward in gameplay terms or it is just DOA compared to its peers in 2012.

The mechanics of the hold system were changed and are the basis for DOA2 except that the sequel simplified things especially in the console versions.

Are you kidding? I wish it looked just like DOA2 because DOA2 was a solid game. The gameplay looks 1:1 with DOA4 and Dimensions, which were both horrible, horrible games.
