Why is there no Amiga thread?

Just curious, but why is there not a Amiga thread on these forums?

 

probably the same reason why there is no Atari thread as there are other websites that cover them much better.

 

I need to get a decent amiga emulator so I can start covering it's game on Retrocade

 

That's a bit like driving in a kit car that looks like a more expensive sports car and pretending you are gettting the same feel of the car...

 

Maybe because this board is console-centric and Amiga isn't a console?

 

Nor are computers but there is a computer support forum

You know that a C64 is not the same thing as an Amiga, right?

 

UAE/Win UAE is probably the best Amiga Emulator out there.

 

Same Company I couldn't find the Amiga PC

 

Actually that is untrue, Amiga was just bought up by Commodore, and well why is there no Amiga PC ? Because the Amiga is a PC ! And if I recall correctly, then there was even a PCB card for the Amiga that had a PC in or something along the lines to make it even DOS compatible, but please do not hang me up upon it.

 

Americans eh? That's like saying the Dreamcast is the same as the Saturn!

But yeah, the likes of the Amiga, Atari ST etc. have little presence here mostly because the board is console-centric, but also because I assume there's less of a 'scene' on the other side of the pond.

But yeah, WinUAE is regarded as the best Amiga emulator, I believe it is even used by todays Amiga Inc. themselves.

i think the reason is that the forum is mostly usa-jap based and amiga was almost a zero outside europe...

 

I loved that machine when I saw it for the first time (I was 11 or so), and I never saw one again until many, many years later.

I still wish I could have one.

It is, indeed, impossible to obtain in many territories. Maybe that's why.

 

I think ASSEMbler should add the thread anyway.
Even just a Commodore thread to cover all aspects of there product line.

I would rather post help and stuff here then sign up for another forum :banghead:
