I think Nintendo's games have been in a steady decline ever since the Wii came out. Twilight Princess was OK, but you had to fish for like an hour before you could really get started, Metroid Prime 3 was...just kind of disappointing, mainly because of the talking parts and the hand-holding, and Mario Kart Wii? Complete and utter shit for 10-year-olds. The only games that have really kept the old standard are Mario Galaxy, Smash Bros. Brawl and New Super Mario Bros. (dunno about Galaxy 2, since it came out way after the Wii had started gathering dust for me)
who cares. put that next to a wii and compare them. that is the argument, not a few pixels here or there to make it textbook standard hd.
I sure as hell don't care. Did he just say COD was the biggest game in the world? that invalidates every last claim he makes
Yes, like it or not (I sure don't) COD is the biggest game in the world. I assumed he meant biggest as in the most popular.
Mm... I was more referring to the claim that real Nintendo fanboys make that Super Mario Bros. is the first scrolling platformer, when in fact that honor is held by Pac-Land. Maybe if you had said "console games" I could imagine agreeing with you. But Pilotwings Resort, Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, and Kid Icarus: Uprising are nothing short of incredible.
I actually hadn't even thought about 3DS games, since I've never played any. I'm sure those are really good though, except for Mario Kart 7, unless Nintendo has changed their mind about making the whole game about throwing blue shells around like a retard like in MK Wii.
Unfortunately, blue shells are still there, and really are the one blemish on what is otherwise an outstanding game.
I like my 3DS and there are some great games for it, but I find that I don't play it all that much anymore. I realized that I really prefer to play games on a larger screen, preferably 20" or more (for SD, HD usually needs to be bigger).
Mario Kart Wii is indeed utter shit in EVERY possible way. I boight that crap on day one too hoping for the Namco developed arcade style Mario Kart game in the home. The Wii could do that but what I saw looked more like a N64 game in higher resolution. It looked like crap, played like crap and well, just was crap. Paper Mario bored the shit out of me as well on the Wii. The only reason I completed it was because I paid so much for it. Yakumo
And all this time I thought I was the only one who hated MKW... Forgot about Super Paper Mario, back when it was released I was excited to play a Paper Mario game that was a platformer, but it turned out to be pretty boring except for a few nice moments.
Ahhh well, take it I'm not welcome here, I lose at teh internet. Won't let the door hit my butt on on the way out. Seeeya!
jeeeebus. What is your problem. Go cry somewhere else, this thread is pretty decent, stop trying to ruin everyones good time, be objective, put up a decent argument and have fun.
Well I'm not playing my X-Box 1 much, I just bought a box full of boxed games for the game cube. I think I have more Game Cube, then I do except for the SEGA-CD and SEGA Saturn. =hugh
I didn't think Mario Kart Wii was a bad game. I actually thought it was pretty fun, especially when playing online with lots of other players. True, it wasn't as good as Mario Kart 64, but that's setting the bar pretty high.
