Wii VC games are just roms.... I knew it!!!

Again, I don't know what I'm talking about here so forgive me, but

When you inject a different rom into the WAD file, the console still think's it's playing that WAD, doesn't it? I mean, it still shows the banner for whatever the original WAD was. So wouldn't your play history show up as that legit VC title? As long as you use one that you've already legally purchased, should be safe, I would think.

 

The WAD shell is the same, but you can change the listed name of the channel (ie, hovering your Wii Remote over the channel will print whatever you ve entered).

Also, even if what you say is true it would (under normal circumstances) be impossible to have the same WAD more than once! Hence, multiple copies of the same WAD would smell fishy to say the least.

 

Damn, this makes me more and more want to a buy a WII in the future. Since it is cracked beyond normal recognition. LOL damn this is going to be fun

 

The Nintendo Channel allows you to download demos to the DS but only if you agreed to the data sharing, from what I've read here and there...

 

Well I guess I ll just have to demo the whole ROM image when games get released then :lol: :lol:

 

I know I'm way late here, but if you ever thought these games were recompiled for the VC, you need to lay off the car exhaust.

 

So did anyone actually read the fine print about the data sharing? It says pretty clearly that nothing that personally identifies your console or you will be sent to Nintendo. So it's probably safe to take the tinfoil wrapping off of your wii now.
