If specs were that important, then why has the Wii and 3DS sold more consoles than their competitors? Or why has the Xbox 360 sold more consoles than the supposedly more powerful PS3?
Price is definitely high for what it is, a dvd drive with a cheap tablet, however the developer support is crazy. Tons of games for the launch window. I wasn't planning on getting it but that superhero game Wonderful 101 is going to be real tempting.
There's a lot of games mainly because a big chunk of them are just ports of games on current consoles.
If I had the money I would buy it. For a launch price is fine or are you forgetting how much cost the faulty Xbox 320 and PS3 at launch, the PS3 double the price and the 360 was almost above $400. So whats the bitching about, this sound more like other console fan-boyish than anything. If I won a lottery or something definitely I'll buy it, I want more option than just stay sony or microsoft that's why I also backup OUYA.
After the wii, which has sat in my closet for 3+ years, I won't be buying any nintendo consoles. Always under powered to keep costs down Never good 3rd party support Never good online experience No serious games past the few at launch, always the bait of adult titles and never delivers
I plan on buying one on launch. The wii is probably the console of this generation I enjoyed the most. Super Mario Galaxy, Sonic Colors, Zelda, New Super Mario Bros. There aren't really tons of titles like this on xbox 360 and ps3. (Love Ratchet and Clank Sonic Generations though) I expect Nintendo to have more titles I'm actually interested in then the next gen xbox or playstation. I watched the trailor for Rayman Legends and it looks like it will be pretty fun to play with a group. Just my .02
Well said, ASSEM. Makes me wonder how many peoples closets have a Wii stacked inside. I am really sad Nintendo went the route they did after the Gamecube. The DS was the last great product by them (with actual fun games supporting it), and what I have tried of the 3DS didn't compare. Bought the Wii at launch, and it was a big mistake. Never even came close to being worth the money I shelled into it with false hopes. & the online! If they didn't fix that friend code BS by now with the WiiU then they are doomed yet again with the online front.
You seriously don't see the difference between releasing contemporary technology at $400 and releasing outdated technology at $300? They did, but you said "released by Nintendo".
People are bitching because it is about $50-$100 more expensive than it should be. It's only slightly improved current gen hardware with a tablet controller. The tablet controller is what's jacking up the price, and most gamers don't even seem to want it. Yep, and they did a damn good job with it. I hope Nintendo decides to make F-Zero UX, or whatever they want to call it.
Yeah, if by "I hope Nintendo decides to make it" you mean "I hope they decide to let Sega make it", assuming the same studio is still mostly together (probably not though).
yeah, I'm surprised nintendo is trying to make a profit on their hardware :eyeroll: I already preordered, $25 bucks at gamestop np
Of course. If the same team is mostly together, then Nintendo should let them make it. I don't know if they are though.
$299 -> 8gb 0_o $350-> 32GB wut I can get 64gb of flash for $60 My personal take: It will be 3DS all over. Too expensive with no launch title worth a damn followed by a 6-12 month dry spell of no game worth a damn at all.
http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B008B5YB4W/ref=mp_s_a_2?pi=SL75&qid=1347574105&sr=8-2 Wii U Premium Black £300. What ever happened to conversion rates? £300 is roughly $480, this is what puts me off buying new consoles, think you've got it bad in the US? Think again! My thoughts exactly. I still haven't even bought a 3DS, there's only a handful of games I want and even now they don't justify the price. Only games I imagine my self wanting is Mario, Zelda and F-Zero, untill then I'm not even considering it.
