I didn't suggest that people liking the MK plot couldn't read, just that they obviously don't. At least enough. The MK plot is a ridiculous hastily put together premise to rationalise why a group of ugly looking characters would join together in a fight to the death. It's just about comparable to Street Fighter 2 - corny in the extreme and pull of gaping holes.

I'm not saying a fighting game needs a plot BTW - they don't. I like MK as a series (until Trilogy).

So people should not enjoy a video game plot anymore unless it is comparable to Shakespeare?

Who said anything about Shakespeare? Don't play the straw man here. My argument is with someone describing the average fighting or platform game plot as "good" or "cool".

I don't have a problem with people enjoying the plot to a videogame and calling it cool, each to their own opinion. But good? There are plenty of videogame plots I enjoy and it adds entertainment value in most cases. To actually play Mortal Kombat FOR the plot? That's crazy to me. Play the game for the gameplay.

Erm... I'm a huge H.P. Lovecraft fan thank you very much. As well as a fan of Herman Melville.

And I still think the MK series has a well put together plot. As I've already stated.
