Perhaps they went from blue to white with the more recent units. But true with the displays and regional settings, just an observation I noticed.
Also just came across our first PCI-X 2 model Alpha Kit. Since those were manufactured June 2004 it seems that they were definitely purchased by Microsoft in more than one batch. All the ones that we have seen open so far were PCI-X not PCI-X 2.

Is it $650 or $865? Would be nice to see some more videos/pics of a frankenxenon in action, and what all can be played/run on it.
$650 USD which is $865ish CAD. I don't have a capture card atm so I can't really get any video. Borman might be able to help in that regard.
There's not a whole lot to show honestly. I plan on uploading some Halo if I can find my proper audio cable though
The iMac G5 is a single processor 970 or 970fx system and therefore won't work. We've already tested both compatible PowerMac G5 models. The later ones won't work due to lack of GPU support and the lack of a U2 SMC. If you want to do your own testing then consider donating.
The 970 and 970fx systems (PCI-X and PCI-X 2), correct. 970MP is a completely different ballpark and won't be compatible without some serious work.
The modem port doubles as a serial port for every G5 model, not only that but we believe kernel debugging happened over something else (perhaps not even on physical hardware) such as Firewire since it's present in the Giano framework.
