There were genuine silver versions of the PSX late in its life, you do see them on yahoo fairly often.

They also made mock-ups in other colours too - check some of the links in <this thread>. The silver was the only alternative colour to make it to market in the end.

I randomly caught this a few minutes before it ended...

I got it for 8,750 yen. He didn't have it listed in the Saturn or MegaDrive category and didn't mention that Navi Saturn in the title. They're all listed as untested and it says the back panel is missing on the Saturn, but it's always nice to pick up a Navi. :)

It is now way near fullset.
And something is wrong with the description, because he says he has 1200 games, but only 1/5 (20%) of FDS fullset..20% is 40 titles..And there is only 1050 (approx.) carts, making 1090 total.
So there is AT LEAST 110 doubles..

Anyway, the auction ended at 2500000 Yens,it was stopped.
    There is only

He didn't say he had only 1/5 of all FDS games but that 1/5 of his FDS fullset was factory-sealed :)
I believe there were 1216 games in total for the FC (don't know if rerelases are included in this number), including the 200 for the FDS. If that is true, he (list says 1197) comes pretty close to a complete collection.

But why the hell has this auction been cancelled? It was at 999,999 when I checked it last (4h before the end). There was no way to reach something like 2,5m the "regular way" and according to his experience as reseller, he knew that.

I know,i was just completing it,since Cyberguile told it was nice for a fullset attempt. And i was telling as well there is something fishy in this auction.
Sorry for the mix up about the 20% :)

I'm always amazed how japanese people (but it can be true for Ebay auctions as well) make their auctions descriptions and pics..for a 1 million to 2.5 million yen (well that's the price that appeared) auction, the least you could do is CLEAN pics, and precise description..he doesn't say what titles he has.
For Famicom Disk System, Clu Clu Land is worth 100000 Yens,as an example.
We don't even know if it was there.

    Nice auction anyway.
The 2.5 million price maybe was his reserve?
I often see reserve price appears when the auction ends,if it is not reached.

Japanese are amazingly talented at awful website design. They're getting better, but the amount of information (and neatly stored information at that) in Japanese compared to English (even of Japanese content, such as games) is pretty amazing.

Pretty sure if you don't set it to automatically restart, it will show the reserve.

But you're totally right. For 2.5 million yen, I would want an itemized list with condition (at least).

Well, there was 400 guidebooks, which increase the value of such set for sure, but i really don't know how much :)
Anyway,i really don't expect people bidding 2.5 million yen on my auction (if that was mine)without telling which games there is, and in which condition (IIRC,he said that games are boxed with instructions at least).
That is non sense..not only for bidders, but for yourself: if you want to get the higher bids possible, you should "attract" them with the most precise/accurate description & pics.

    Sorry for my bad english.

There's a TOOL up on YJ, currently 1,980 円 with 2 days left. According to the on-line translation, the auction notes say that it powers up, but no display comes up - however, if the pics included are of the unit itself, the blanking plates over the 2nd VGA card are still in place, so possibly that might be the problem? Might be worth it, if it stays cheap & you have a way to ship it?
