Uhh... They just released a game for the PS2, Growlanser Generations. They also did Gungriffon Blaze and Silpheed: The Lost Planet for the PS2 as well.

I normally dont like Mech games much. I just like the customization like in Armored Core, but Gungriffon is a pretty good from what I played, and Silpheed got bad reviews since it was an old school shooter, but I like it. And it has a story, too! OMFG
I havent played Growlanser Generations, yet. I know, I should.

BTW, I got Gungriffon and Silpheed on the cheap as well. Growlanser gen dlx wasnt. :O

No one's mentioned Tecmo ;( Tecmo (well, specifically Team Ninja, not the other Monster Rancher crew) are simply technical geniuses, they're always a console generation before their time and really know how to stretch hardware. Ninja Ryukenden/Gaiden will NEVER get old, the more I dig into their games the more I'm amazed by their code.

  8. Kyuusaku mentioned ninja gaiden so I thought I'd mention that Ninja Spirit for the Tg16/pcengine is my favorite ninja game with Revenge of Shinobi a close second.

  9. I'm sort of surprised that few people are remembering the old school developers. Like what about Argonaut?

You can't say they don't deliver though ;) Anyone who can make a beautiful game in 2bpp should be commended! Another developer I like is HAL, Kirby and Lolo ;)

by the look of it, putzi, i can tell you're not one of those players from the 8-bit generation, you've really started playing games in the 32bit era, mostly with the playstation, am i right? ;)

and may i ask you why you love rockstar as a developer? it's not that i find it odd or anything, i'm just curious. ;)

there's no offend intended at all, be asured.

and i i tell you that rockstar isn't the developer of gta? DMA designs are the developer, and rockstar are only publishing it. Same for Max Payne wich is developed by remedy. it might let you want to edit your post ;)
