I thought it was Rockstar north?

  3. I actually beg to differ. The Amiga / Atari ST era was the best. Maybe I'm just old school.

The SNES era and Nintendo, thats where my heart lays.

  5. Go to www.Rockstarnorth.com. DMA Design is now Rockstar North and part of Rockstar Games since September 1999 when they were acquired by Take 2.

  6. I'm strugging on the next best era. It's either "Commodore 64 and Atari 800/1200" or "SNES / Genesis" era. I still play the Steven Seagal game on SNES.

    Konami
    Capcom
    Nintendo
    Sonic Team (sega in general)

I dunno, it probably was....I don't even think I was born then though, the earliest I had was commadore 64 and NES, I was 3. SNES and Genesis was awesome too, that's when I really got into games. I guess it's just my good memories of stuff, I just remember how awesome playstation was when I got it for Xmas.....Good ol' memories of being a kid...it seems like now kids mostly play crap though. :(

  10. DMA was finally absorbed into the Rockstar empire between GTA3 and Vice City and became "Rockstar North".

And I forgot Ape (now a part of HAL) - they're only really known for Mother and Mother 2/Earthbound, but what games to be known for!

If possible, ignore the obvious Street Fighter or Resident Evil titles and concentrate on their recent innovative streak, which shows no signs of stopping if Killer 7 is anything to go by...

    Konami
Even without Hideo Kojima, they still get my seal of approval for Contra and - damn! - Metal Gear Solid. Maybe they do need Kojima, after all?

    SEGA-AM2
OutRun, Power Drift, Virtua Racing, Virtua Fighter, Daytona USA, Virtua Cop, Fighting Vipers and Shenmue to name but a few? You can't go too-far wrong with a track record (pun intended?) like that! There's also a certain VF3 to address, but I won't bore you all by describing my love for this game just yet!

    Sonic Team
Once again, forget the obvious reasons why this developer is so great and just think of NiGHTS, Burning Rangers or even the cross-pollinating multiplatform phenomenon (!!) that is Puyo Pop Fever. Unfortunately, my list already has too many Sega divisions in it so I will have to exclude Hitmaker! and Team Andromeda.

    Treasure
Any respecting Saturn or Dreamcast fanatic knows just how important Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga are, though MegaDrive collectors also have a lot to be proud of when it comes to experiencing the best this group has to offer. Let's just hope that Gunstar Super Heroes isn't a mistake and that it continues the company's long tradition when it comes to quality...

How could I forget Telenet and their off spring such as Wolfteam and Riot. Valis, El Viento, Granada, Arcus Odessey (sp?) and so on.

I always thought NCS Masaya made the SFC version of Prince of Persia or as the idiots would say, Konami :D I know that Arsys made the PC88 version of Star Cruiser but wasn't the Mega Drive version by NCS Masaya as well? I have that on original cart, I should check out the box.

Natsume are Taito under a different name. I have a feeling that Ving may also be an off spring of Taito.

I always thought Ubisoft was just french for Electronic Arts, but I dunno, the only game of theres I own is Splinter Cell and the old rainbow six (lol, and in my opinion, I totally hate both of those gaymes) I have a friend who says ubisoft is really awesome too though, so it sounds like those other games are probably great...maybe I should pick up beyond good and evil
