Any photos? There's quite a lot of abandoned buildings & tunnels where I live, I'm tempted to take a poke around once I can find someone to tag along with.
Ooo ooo here are some of mine of what looked like an abandoned hay farm. Some documents inside the trailer suggested the place was left to rot sometime in the early 90s: Erm, this was in the parking lot next to the farm which is now attached to some hiking trails or something. It's the business end of a "fleshlight". I frequent this joint a bit: http://www.uer.ca/ To find places in my neck of California it isn't too hard. There are plenty of abandoned gold/silver/lead/mercury mines listed on USGS charts but most are on private property and I'd rather not get shot at. Plenty of lore suggests the odd cemetery here and there but nothing I've found quite yet. I've also been trying to branch out into fossil collecting which is a pain in the ass in my part of California. Mostly ancient seabed or lava flows here. Coin collecting, more esoteric gardening stuffs. Examples of my more esoteric gardening: Pineapple top I got from a friend. Found that it had produced roots a few days ago and got around to potting it yesterday. Hopefully I can keep it on life support long enough for it to root itself and start producing new leaves. Kalanchoe succulent branches that broke off their mother plant when it fell from my window sill. They've been sitting in a bowl of water to generate roots (which they do extremely readily) and I got around to potting them earlier today. Within a few weeks they should be rooted deeply and start growing new leaves. The bottom left has two seeds from a mystery plant that started growing in my back yard last summer. A local nursery told me it might have be a canna lily but I'm unconvinced. I'm not remotely what you'd call a botanist either. Something for the ladies. I've yet to meet a girl who hasn't liked the roses from the bushes my mother planted many years ago. Let alone a dried version that lasts a lot longer and retains the scent much better than a fresh one. Usually I let them hang like this in my car with the windows up which dessicates them completely in less than 8 hours but the weather here has been bipolar lately so they're inside where its a smidge warmer.
in order music sleep music researching random crap. music thinking music sleep socializing working ways round my conditions and life and music ( did i say music before)
My hobbies include drug taking, burglary and listening to Aphex Twin, of course. I'm also a SONY fan.
Lately: Still playing music and sleeping. Hell, that's all I've been doing. I'm pretty worthless for the time being.
I've been collecting vinyl lately. I have about 26 or so LPs/singles etc. It's been great fun discovering little record shops and sifting through their inventory. I got a first print of Dark Side of the Moon the other day for $20.
that's an expensive hobby in our days isn't it? I mean, if you want to get a class -A pickup player with all the latest anti-scratch'n'wear tech you're looking at a pretty steep price range :/ @MasterofPuppets: Lovely pictures although I find the lack of zombies disturbing.
Vinyl can still be very fulfilling without all the fancy stuff. The same way most of us can sit down with a 20-year old 13" CRT, an NES, and a pile of miscellaneous carts and have a fantastic time.
not really. well, the way i do it not really. i had the stereo equipement already, so i just picked up a used turntable for $30. and i've just been buying cheap LPs at local shop. on average i pay about $5 a record. i haven't paid over $20 for an album yet. Dark Side of the Moon was 20, The Who Live at Leeds was $20, and Beastie Boys Solid Gold Hits was $18 i think. oh man... heaven on earth...
i find that people who admit that they burgal are horrible at being a thief ,seems like you said this to make everyone go speechless wether if you are being true-full with what you said or not i am astonished that you would even say this here .
I have a collection of random old and more recent PCs and I generally enjoy building and fixing the things. My other hobbies include: Whatever the hell the degree I'm studying for is Watching chick flicks on my own General pessimism Oh and once in a while I attempt to hackintosh with my AMD pc, never ends all that well.....
