Anyone know a way to get a 128mb Xbox for Virtua Cop 3?

If anybody wants a 128mb modded retail xbox i would have one spare.
If anyone wants to buy it just drop me a PM. If needed i could send just the board to reduce the shipping costs.

 

Not sure if this has been asked already, but does VC3 freeze after running the service .xbe for anyone else? I'm sure the answer for this is simple, but I haven't bothered to look into it. Doesn't seem to matter if you modify the options or not, it always freezes before going ingame.

 

Sorry to ask this knowing this is an old thread. But if my Xbox can of the memory upgrade, it can run VC 3. Do you run it off the hard drive or is it a special CD used in arcade setups.

Going to bump this again as I have a few things to say myself.

First off is what I know to make it run. Some guy on YouTube modded his Xbox with the 128MB RAM and has a really good tutorial on it. Anyways, what he did was the RAM upgrade and uses the IND-BIOS 5003 to initialize all the RAM at console startup. Didn't say what else was needed. Video link to his upgrade tutorial. Check the comments for the best BIOS files to use. (especially the ones between me and him. I'm Megasonicdude10.)

Lastly check this video out of him playing VC3 on LCD set. A few things to note here. He runs XBMC for the dash, uses an EMS Top Gun 3, and it looks like he launches the game straight from dash with nothing else to get the RAM all initialized. I'm guessing it's due to the IND-BIOS 5003 and the XBMC dash both of which support the 128MB RAM by default at startup.



I'll be going a route much like this with the UnleashX dashboard and my first party light gun on my CRT set. It has component but no digital modes. Hopefully the game runs in 640x480 analog mode.

 

Its just the bios that needs to support it and the game (xbe) you are running (i.e. VC3)

 

Wasn't there some slowing issues with VC3 that were mysteriously solved when you launched MAMEoX and returned to dash before launching the VC3 executable? Does the IND bios remove this odd manipulation?

 

I'm hoping so. But I have to wait for my chips and mod chip to fix a screwed up configuration file I used when setting my IND-BIOS up. now the console doesn't boot despite me knowing the HDD is fine. I get an error 14 thrown now even when trying to boot from the DVD drive...

 

If I have time I will try it tonight. I have the IND-Bios 5003 on my Xecuter 3.

I just watched the video and it starts with the guy already on XBMC. Maybe he cycled through MAMEdOX prior starting to record?
