Assembler trip to Tokyo????

I liked Osaka! Although it was mainly because of all the late-night street drifting. It's huge there....

I was a real big fan of Kansai in general, I guess primarily just because there was so much to do within a fairly small area, stuff's just a little train ride away, and it's pretty varied.

Kobe is a hella nice city though. There were a bunch of bosozoku drifting their old-school Soarers and Chasers around inside the Kobe Harborland parking garage at night, gangs with dif. markings on their cars. Good atmosphere though, we chatted it up with them (to the extent possible, given my japanese SUCKS) for hours. Then we went drinking with one big bunch of them, lots of fun.

 

Since you seem to know Osaka, can you recomend some places to go, things to see(or places to avoid? :-D ) ?
I found all sorts of info and pictures online about Tokyo but not much about Osaka...

 

There's a Sofmap (or was it trader) pretty close to Osaka station, under a viaduct if I remember right. But then my time in Osaka was limited to about 6 hours so I haven't seem much but Osaka-jo (which is nice, btw)

it's very well supplied and it has the more favorable prices that akihabara (sfc console only 1900 yen BRAND NEW)

*i see them in akihabara but not in great conditions....*

and some games (always in MINT conditions) NEVER seen to akihabara in 20 days of travel...

 

Aargh you make me cry! It'll certainly teach me not to go round-trip from Tokyo to Osaka in one day... (not that 7 hours on the Shinkansen isn't interesting)

DenDen town is awesome! How about Kyoto, do you guys know any nice game shops here? or book-off/hard-off?
Yesterday on the subway some station had a bookoff add (store outside) but I forgot which station it was..

 

Hey Codeman1, think you'll be coming down to good old Shimonoseki I'll take you to my local Hard Off just over the road from my house While you are in the Kansai area check out Kobe and the International town. I found it to be very nice when I went there 5 years ago.
