The kuso game volumes are worth $10-20 (Vol 1-3). Vol 4 and 5 around $30 and Volume 6 can go $100+! It was recently sold in lousy condition without spinecard and sunbleached for 8500yen on YAJ. Luckily I didn't pay that rate :)

I haven't been posting for two years as there has been little that I could have shown you. I continued to buy games, but they all stayed in their shipping boxes and went straight to a storage department >_>

After spending 4+ months in Japan, I am now back in Canada and finally moved into my first real apartment (I lived in student dorms and shared apartments since August 2011). I now have a (small) dedicated game room that will be filled to the brim with shelves, consoles, games and monitors (^c^)/

Around 80% of my collection is stored in my parents' basement, which is over 1300km (800mi) away from my home at the West Coast. Once I can afford a moving company, everything will be moved over to my apartment - hopefully before October of this year.

Until then, here are some impressions of the current collection situation.

This cool gap between the closet and ceiling is where I will store all my hardware boxes!

Current shelf situation. I will add more boards so each shelf is configured like the one on the left. I hope that it can fit all CD-sized games and Famicom boxes, while the remaining cartridge games and DVD-cases will be stored somewhere else.

For the LOLs: My collection as it is stored right now - numbered, color-coded, arranged according to weight and size. :D

Oh man, I feel you! It's been almost a year since I relocated to Ireland, and all my collection (bar a few handhelds...) still rests in boxes in a storage unit in Uruguay :(

    Here's part of it:

I look forward to seeing your new room all up and running, your collection has always been one of my favorites around here ^_^

BTW, 4 months in Japan sounds cool, were you on business/study or just extended vacation?

Cheers man! I didn't know you went to Ireland, how long have you been there? Moving a sizable collection is a big pain and costly. Few collectors have to do it on an intercontinental scale like us, but it sure makes you more attached to your games. With every crazy move I feel more confident that I cannot sell my collection under any circumstances :p

I hope you can get reunited with your games soon. I unpacked only some stuff temporarily at my parents' place, but most hardware, limited boxes and 1000+ games remained in moving boxes since 2011. They are now in storage for almost a longer time than what I had owned them prior to the move.

I was in Japan as part of a student exchange program. Never posted here as that was the time when Assembler was broken, but it was quite a cool experience. You can also check out my infrequently updated blog for some pictures & stories: http://toarcade.wordpress.com

Awesome! Some very cool pics on your blog, also... Nintendo printer, nice find!

Next week it's going to be a year since I came to Ireland, not many collectors here and not much retro activity going on, but man, it's way much better than being in Uruguay, plus now I can buy stuff and import without having to worry about retained packages at customs or crazy import taxes :p

I'm looking forward to getting reunited with my collection as well.

    Cheers!

All my purchases from Japan have now arrived. Everything you can see in the shelf (hardware, games & manga) was accumulated since March this year. ^^

Three incarnations of ashtrays, two different coin press souvenirs from the legendary HEY Akihabara Taito game center, and the Taito staff attendant version of sexy Sonico ^_^

Domo & Kirby rocking it out downstairs in front of a traditional Japanese paper curtain. The curtain is the made from really nice thick paper and was actually just the backside of the packaging of my Japanese SIM card. Man... I wish they'd put that much love into packaging outside of Japan, the world would be a better place.
