Yakumo-sama: You "old" man You are doing a magnificent job as a hobby/interest and you have made two (in my mind anyway) successful series, and in fact I remember comparing it to troldspejlet (the troll/magic mirror). You have surpassed that series MANY times. And back then, when you said you wanted to make a series inspired by Consolevania, and I was worried. That it would be a "too crazy" series. And in fact, I am "spamming" your episodes (both of RTC and BOTP) three places. Where some of the viewers are Danish, so you have that going for you. Which is nice Which shows, just because you are on the other side of the world. Then you are reaching people any, and everywhere And to be honest, you are not old And neither am I
Oh sorry, i haven't any clue you weren't gonna do it or so but it's okay if you like i can help you out and get a good selection of the games for the special but, considering you have 0 interest in the subject you don't have to do it if you want
No worries mate Of course the people of Denmark understands you Heck, as you know, even though my father do "not" understand English. Then even he likes your show, hell if you ever thought of making some of the shows on DVD again, I think he would love hearing your "Ringo Starr" Voice again
All new Battle of the Ports out now on YouTube Super Street Fighter II I'll be updating the official site too with two more videos over the weekend.
I had no idea how few ports there were of Super. Super Turbo got quite a few (there actually is a difference between the Saturn and Playstation versions, Saturn has a frame rate drop in a few stages for some reason) and on obscure hardware too.
Yakumo-sama: I am really enjoying this video. But it seems to me, you have some explaining to do (not for me). But to a few youtubers, who are asking questions like "where is the 3DO version ?" and well I am asking out of respect. Where the Amiga CD32 version at ? Cause that version could just make it up a little bit for the Amiga computers, even though it was in fact a console. That could be made into a fully fledge AGA Amiga 1200 computer. But that was , if you had the dough / money But as you write in the beginning of the video. You are not showing SSF2 Turbo. Which explains it a bit.
Well, at least they gave Super Street Fighter 2 some afford at the PC version... I'm loving the series!
Some YouTube viewers don't bother to read or understand which is why I'm getting questions such as "Where's the 3DO version". The 3DO, Amiga 32, Gameboy Advance and other versions are all Super Street Fighter II X/Turbo. This video does not cover the X/Turbo versions.
Yakumo: Your two series, are magnificent And that is the truth And the best part of your two shows, are that you have nothing that says "this video is sponsored by Pink drinks for Pixies" "buy this little shit-console, cause then we will give the youtuber you are watching a penny or two". Basically what I am saying is this. I fucking hate ads and commercials. And I am glad nothing like that, is on your show
To be fair, making YouTube videos takes a lot of time. Sure, many fans do it for the passion such as my self but there's no harm in getting a little cash for all the hard work. I don't have any sponsor but if a company asked me to give them a little 10 second mention at the begging of each video then that's cool I think. Just as long as the whole show isn't full of adds. Now that would be in poor taste and loose the point of having such a fan made show.
New Battle of the Ports - Vigilante The official site is also being updated as I right this. - http://www.segagagadomain.com/botp/botp-menu1.htm
"hey come on hey come on hey come on hey come on hey come on" A fine Spartan X "sequel" but it's too short... I like my turbografx hucard but I don't play it much because of that.
You shuld try the Euro home computer ports. You'll never finish them because they're so hard. It's a joke how bad they are.
Somehow i missed the post with the Super Street Fighter II video. And now there's Vigilante (I loved that game on the MasterSystem). Can't wait to get home and watch them!
New Battle of the Ports - Shinobi
WOOOOO I love me some Shinobi. Very interested to see what you say about the Master System port, which is dispite being alittle different from the Arcade, is my Favorite.
I actually like the Master System version. I used to play it a lot back in 1988. The PC Engine version is a let down. The game looks good graphically but has so much missing from it including how it plays.
The Master System Shinobi is the only game I ever found a stage select code for on my own. That version is so much fun. Even to this day I dread the bonus stages because I'm startled STILL by the jumping Ninja that's pretty much any version. The Stage 4 boss for some reason is probably the easiest one in the game, though I've never gotten up to him in the arcade version.
