If I could program(which I can NOT), I would pull my fingers out of my derrier and make a "good" port on the C64, and even make the soundtrack at least the European C64 soundtrack. Cause damn, I think it is a disgrace, how much shitty conversions there has been for some of the computers and what not of consoles in Europe back in the day. But great show Also I would be a bit disappointed , when you come to the Bubble Bobble BOTP episode. If you go crazy at the C64, and perhaps (a bit) on the Amiga version. Cause if you ask me, I would rather play either the C64 or the Amiga version of that lovely game. Than the NES version, which just does not fair well with me. But oh well, that was me just giving you a good suggestion of what a future BOTP episode could be. Cause Bubble Bobble has also been out/ported to a butt-load of computers, consoles and what have you Yakumo-sama I won't be the grammar Nazi, since my grammar sucks some times too. So no worries, but if you want me , or any one else to proof read some of the text on your BOTP videos. I think "we" would gladly do it. My spelling is fine, my understanding is about the same. But me and commas, periods, and so forth are shite. So no worries about that. Yakumo-sama your show kicks arse !
I've not yet watched the show right through but you're not the first to comment of the spelling. The problem is that I make the battle of the Port shows in the early hours of the morning so I do tend to make many mistakes regarding the text. I do actually spell check as well but again, due to fatigue I miss some stuff at times. I really wish I could make the shows at an earlier time but work and real life are always in the way so the early hours of the morning is all I have That After Burner show was finished around 3:30 am!
Summimasen Yakumo-sama: I hope you understand. I love your show, and I think the best of it. So when I tell you. I wouldn't mind proofreading it. It was ONLY meant as in the best of interests to your great show . Yakumo-sama you fucking rock !
I wonder if anyone noticed the After Burner upload? Today sees another new Battle of the Ports - Art of Fighting
I've seen it but forgot to post here, sorry. I have good memories of the MasterSystem port. It was very impressive back in the day and i probably spent tons of time playing it. The MegaDrive port was the king till the 32X and Saturn ports arrived. The 32x is so good, it's probably one of the few must buy games for the add-on. But the PS2 Sega Ages version... shame on you Sega.
I never actually owned the Master System version as I went for Space Harrier instead. I did own the Mega Drive version though and still do. back when it was new I thought it was amazing but looking back on it hasn't aged that well. The 32X version is fantastic but then again the Saturn and Dreamcast versions basically are the arcade.
After Burner for the SMS is amazing but too much hard. There's a cheat for getting infinite continues but it only works until the last level.
Battle of the Ports - Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
one day if you'll win at lottery and will have unlimited time at your hands you might try and make a battle of the ports of the 10000000 KOF versions out there Placed in watch it later
Oh man, I would dare touch the King Of Fighters series. SNK fan boys are a right pain in the arse because they "Know EVERYTHING" so one mistake and they jump down your throat I know the basics are King Of Fighters but I lost touch after 2000. The best ones were '96 and '97 IMO.
At least there aren't many ports of the KoF games, so that makes the task a little easier. '98 UM is definitely the best one, though.
I was never a fan of Art of Fighting, not just because i was terrible at it. Always prefered the Fatal Fury series. Still, great video as usual Yakumo. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles... was such an huge fan of the cartoon and the arcade game. It was one of the mandatory games to play everytime i went to an arcade. My parents even watched me play it a couple of times.
Not Many ports? O MY LOL There's a ton, psx, saturn, dreamcast, multiple ports on Ps2, XBOX, PSN version, XBL versions....
Once you ignore the versions that are straight up emulated and whichever version of the Orochi collection you consider redundant, there really aren't that many, and beginning with 2000 there are only like two or three versions of every subsequent game. Out Run or Space Harrier probably have more ports than the entire Orochi saga combined.
