Such an un Namco like Namco game. The reboot on PS360 I hear mixed things about...but there are unlockable nudies of Jennifer so I guess that's a selling point.
I quite like the 360 game. It's a good mindless beat'em up. Just forget it's meant to be splatter house and all will be good.
I'll have to pick it up on a slow release month. If I recall it includes the other gaems as unlockables too.
Yep, like I said to someone on YouTube, why jump on the Star Wars bandwagon or releasing something Christmas like.
Wow 100 shows, that flew past! Good episode, Saturn version wins hands down, Capxom really did know how to programme for it. I was amazed with the SFC version however I did think my cart had a problem when I experienced the loading for the first few times.
The SFC version is really good for the system it's running on. Of course it's not as good as the 32bit ports but still it's might impressive.
Cheers man. Seems my channel is finally starting to become popular. New videos hit a thousand views quit the easily these days. Still very small numbers by YouTube standards but it's picking up.
Tonight i'll finally be able to watch and enjoy the last 3 episodes. Still, congrats for reaching the 100th! I've said this to you before, BOTP is my favorite Youtube show. The art, music, narration and editing is spot on.
The fact they even got Alpha 2 to run on the SFC/SNES is a miracle. It's not Arcade perfect but it looks close.
Alpha 2 is one of my Top 3 favorite games In the entire SF series. I was very much looking forward to this battle of the ports video, that is until I actually watched it. Just so much incorrect info and wrong versions used in this comparison video. It's a damn shame Never the less, congrats on your 100th video I supppse...
Such as? The Ps2 error was thanks to the official wiki having the wrong information. I've added an annotation to the video pointing out the error. As for using Zero 2 dash on the Saturn, well there's nothing wrong with that. Graphically and game play wise it's the same as normal Zero 2. I didn't mention any of the extras since they would not have been valid for the video. So really the only big issue was the PS2 comment as far as I'm aware. I'd like to know what you thought was wrong bar the two points above so I can note them for future shows.
You must take some amount responsibility for not taking that wiki info with a grain of salt and checking it out for yourself. It's really as simple as poping in the PS2 version, launching A2 and within seconds to see the CPS2 Q SOUND intro as well as hearing the CPS2 soundtrack (that doesn't exist in any other home port mind you!) in the game intro to realize that it's not at all a port of the PS1 version. In neglecting the PS2 port, your info on the Saturn version being the best home port is incorrect. The other major problem in this video is you believing that Zero 2 Alpha (aka Zero 2 Dash/A2 Gold) and standard Alpha 2 (Zero 2) are the same game. They are not! You used Zero 2 Alpha Arcade as the point of comparision. Ok fine. Which means this battle of th ports video should have been between Arcade, the correct PS1 port, Saturn and PS2 ports. Furthermore, because you are using the updated version of Alpha 2, some of the info regarding the game's mechanics are incorrect as well.
I love House of the Dead. I'm going to watch this tonight. Any hope for the other entries in the series?
