http://uk.media.wii.ign.com/media/873/873984/vids_1.html well here's my best argument. It's evident from the video that the new one is faithful enough to the original, yet different, to warrant us old timers a revisit to the franchise. Considering my loathing for the PS3's pad, the Wii Nights seems like an obvious choice. What say you?
they do look very impressive and capture the essence of the original and expand nicely upon it. Head 2 head looks like it could be pretty fun, I just hope the controls are fully customisbale as i`m not sure I want to get arthritis in my wrist!
Considering it would be for collectors/retrogamers, that's doable. Now you better tell Sega to get to work! I'd settle for a Sega Genesis + 32X in one. I think there was someone that managed to fit it inside a Genesis model 2 in korea.
That could be done, you just need to make a new upper part for the genny, then wire the 32X hardware permanently onto the cartridge slot, AV ports and make a new power input. You close it down, and there you have a neptune allright:lol:
Making the unit taller though would defeat the point. I think someone mentioned that korean hackjob made the cartridge port sit higher up or something.
More pics for the PS2 version. Looks nice if you ask me: http://www.famitsu.com/game/coming/1211999_1407.html
I am SO buying this. And am I correct in assuming that the last paragraph & bunch of pictures are about an option to turn "Saturn graphics" on? That would be so cool! For me, Nights has somehow become linked with some pixelation, and the cleaner PS2-rendered shots look a bit bland in some places.
ouch, those screenshots were haunting. I like the original Nights and its graphics just as they are. The Ps2 version looks ..wrong Apparently the original is included though! read SEGASATURN DREAM
Bleh, it looks good. The Saturn version was good at the time but these days it has become a fuzzy mess.
well the whole point is that some things are better left alone, just as they first appeared. Like comparing the original Super Mario Bros with the All Stars graphics. The 8bit version prevails and gets extra points for style in my book =)
Neet, It does seem to include the saturn version (they have screen shots at the bottom) vs -- Dear Sega -- Bring to USA please!! Barc0de, Bah, I liked the all stars remake of SMB 1.
I don't feel old skool 3D holds as much charm as old skool 2D, but that's my personal preference. Unless you include vector graphics (I'm very close to buying a Vectrex!)
Well according to the God awful Google translation: "Saturn version of the graphic reproduction mode can also be played. Nostalgic sense of the game they can enjoy."
