I not trying to be rude WolverineDK but I would like to know why you have this obsessive need to mention Denmark in every post?
A. Snow: if you count my posts where I mention DK, versus the ones without. You will see, I am not really mentioning DK that much. But when I mention it, it is because of most of the time, pure historical facts and knowledge, that I sometimes am NOT proud off, what the Danish governments has done in the past. It is not in any way, that I feel like a lesser person, because I mention Denmark.
Everybody compares whatever topic with their own country, it's normal and interesting to read the differences. As here I learned I must tip in the US or die a shamefull death so that underpaid by the manager and overpaid by the tips staff can do their normal job for which I already paid for. But do you really need to go down to the level of plain old cursing somebody out for virtually nothing? You do know that keeping reacting like this just makes it fun for people to keep teasing you right?
I know that about how "fun" it is . But who cares really, alchy is just a dropper of shit in my lap every now and then. It is not like I can handle alchy like I can/could handle AlenWorkShop. Since they are two different individuals. And you act differently to individual people, cause some people, you can smack around a bit, and then there will go a few months, before their "urges" come up again. Other times , you basically need to bite at their toes. Because they really do not care, unless you specifically target them out, and blast them the fuck away every time their so-called "fun" gets to them. It is just like criminals, you can not treat them all the same, well you can . But then you will get a society I would not like to live in. But my point is this, different folks , different strokes. And A. Snow, if I may add a few more lines in the topic about why I mention my country so-called so much, it is because Denmark is such a small country, that the entire nation of 6 million people could be in one of the cities in another country. And me mentioning Denmark should really not kill the buzz that much, and personally it is not like I suffer from a "lesser worth complex" because I mention Denmark that "much" or Denmark used to be a bigger country in the past. Or that I have a too big national pride ego, cause I actually have less national pride, than some of you have. And just because I like "I Danmark Er Jeg Født" (In Denmark Am I Born, it is a song) , then it does not mean I vote for any kind of right winged political party, cause in my mind you can still be proud as a person, and of your country. And still not go to the extremes in the political spectrum. So to those who think I speak/tell too much about my country, then you are blind. And to narrow minded. Since I am speaking less, than some others do about their country. But different folks, different strokes. Peace out for now, and damn I am tired.
Yeah, we see the piece of wood in our brothers eye, but we are not aware of the log in our own. But oh well, there is another saying that makes perfect sense too about this stuff. Sweep in front of your own door, before you begin to sweep in front of others. Both proverbs mean this, before you attack other peoples problems. You should be aware of your own, and I am very aware of my own problems.
I can't really comment on the rudeness but everytime I've been to the Casino where I live there is a massively disproportionate number of Chinese people there - young, old, male and female. Is gambling a big thing in China?
True: But then again that is from Shakespears version of Hamlet, and not from Saxo Grammaticuses version. But yeah back to the real world, there is something rotten in the state of Denmark, and I can only blame my government for that.
Nope but then I went to school and learnt a trade. ;-) But then I wouldn't work for a crap wage. Never have and never will.
Don't be judgemental and close-minded. That trait is reserved for Americans. And for what it's worth, those jobs traditionally pay better than hourly ones for people who work hard. It's an immigrant thing to an extent. I lived in Hawaii, which is a huge immigrant state, and within a month or two I was invited to a shit ton of underground games. The immigrants were explaining it to me as such. As for casinos, not sure where you played, but quite a few casinos employ Asian/Chinese staff. Who knows why. Maybe it's just a demographic that's predisposed to work in a casino. I usually get pretty dope service from them (and yes, they're tipped) but I've gotten a few that have made me get up and switch tables. One in particular, who was Chinese and wouldn't give advice at Black Jack (and did so in shitty English to boot).
I was not being serious, this was a sarcastic remark to reply on the whole if you can't/don't want to tip stay home bs. And this is what pisses me off
There are far more things to get pissed off about. Seriously, your argument should be directed at taxes. In the US businesses aren't obligated (and don't) show a tax-inclusive tax price. Far more annoying than tipping, which at least assures some minimal level of quality control (and often keeps it high). It's not really BS though. Tipping is now a staple of American culture. You don't have to participate, but that means not participating on every level of a business that heavily incorporates it.
Well, I'll leave the US for what it is, I am giving my opinion from my point of view/and geographical location. Not showing tax included prices is equally irritating, I just want to know what I have to pay for things, if service needs to be included, include it! same goes for total price incl. taxes. It's almost equially irritating like shopping in the middle east, where you have to haggle for just about anything! and nothing has a set price. I just want to pay what it costs and not play around, if something costs x and the service is what i would expect it to be to run a decent business then that's what I am paying, going out of your way to please me? then you get a tip, otherwise you are getting what you ask for it. We didn't invent "going dutch" for nothing! cheap by heart and proud of it! Keeping it OT: in Chinese culture the oldest/or most wealthy pays the bill.
It's probably more likely the person who wants to give/save face who pays. Usually to act as a good host, present an outward image of being well off (Even if you can't afford it), or some another silly reason. The younger generation is more laid back. Generally part of the "we split the bill 50/50 because it's fair" crowd.
