Hey mods: why did you delete that post in Off Topic? The one about lizards. It was weird, yes, but did it break any site rules? Did it cause any problems for the forum or for the community? I think someone was a bit delete-happy.

I would have at least liked to save what I had written if I'd known you were going to delete it. I spent a decent chunk of time writing it. If you still have the post stored somewhere, please let me at least read it again.

you posted it? i saw it and left it there, but i admit i was about to delete it for being weird S**T from a 1 post user...

i checked but whoever deleted it made it so it can't be recovered so i can't pm the content to you. sorry about that.

And while we're on the subject of deleting threads...

What happened to my Game Girls thread? Before I posted anything I checked the *RULES* and nothing I posted violated any of them. None of the pictures were pornographic, and they were game related. I didn't even get a message from whoever deleted it on why it was deleted.

Two mods had also commented on the thread as well, without deleting it; which leads me to believe that the mods here can just arbitrarily make up their own rules and apply them as they see fit.

This is not very cool. I spend time here because I feel like I have something to add and enjoy sharing thoughts and opinions with like-minded individuals; but if the mods themselves are not going to follow the posted rules as actual guidelines... what's the point?

    i'll check the matter.

moderation is ALWAYS imperfect. some thing might be felt inappropriated or offensive in one place and not in another. i'll check it out in any case.

assuming you posted in the off-topic, i can find no trace of the topic too.... i guess it was again hard deleted.

so i can't check on the content. quite unlucky for most of the time the topics are just soft deleted (or at least i always do so)...

I know it's just my opinion, but if a topic is deleted the mod should sent the OP a message explaining why.

Or was it because I wrote, "I love hairy women" ? ;-) in the game girl thread ? lol, cause, that reminds of Karsten´s old thread deletion, because I wrote I love hairy a vulva.

Yes, but that picture was moderated early on, so it couldn't have been the reason for deletion. Two pictures from the first group were deleted and one picture of CoCo was deleted from the Another Take on Katherine post.

There were 2 pictures of Ayaka Uchiyama (no nudity), 2 pictures of Moe Takahashi (no nudity) and then a picture of the box art for Another Take.

My two cents on the matter on who deleted the threads, that it was either Paulo, or ASSEMbler himself who deleted the thread.

Maybe there should be a NSFW area where 18+ games could be discussed. Nothing pornographic, but there are LOADS of old "adult" games for obscure and retro systems. You know, keeping it tasteful... nothing hard.

And I still think that active posters deserve the respect of knowing why their topics are deleted.

What happened to my post comparing and compiling a list of flash carts or optical disc emulators. I read all rules before posting it, so I'm wondering if I went against some unwritten rule.

No idea what the lizard thread was, I never saw that because I was asleep. As for the gaming girls thread, well, I guess the powers in charge didn't see it a fit thread for the forum. Personally I had no problem with it but I do understand why it was removed.

Some of my threads get deleted, but I don't see any harm why.. there is usually reasons behind it. So I don't want to bother the mods about it.

But a short message to any user explaining why it was deleted would make the mod's future job easier. We then know what NOT to post.

As for the Game Girl thread I personally didn't see it confronting or offensive, different people have different understandings of pornography. Even though that post had nothing bad what so ever, well apart from image 2.. which wasn't THAT bad.
ASSEMbler might post an announcement about thread deletion soon, as we have all had it done to us, and no explanation.

assembler i think alot of the problems stem from the lack of communication on the moderators part about deletions. if im understanding the series of people posting.

I've always been of the persuasion that parents need to parent and we adults can do what we want within reason. Not like it's /b/ here right? I have personally dealt with this very problem in the past, there is no clean balance.

I've too have had threads deleted with no obvious reason for deletion. I've figured there was a reason but it would be nice to know what the reason is to either appeal or know what to avoid, presumably to avoid toeing an intangible line.

what is this supposed to mean? if there's something spit it up, we're adults here.

you can go get your load of hairy vulvas on the net and real life. but as kev stated overly desciptive talks or pictures are unwelcomed due to the many underage kids around the forum.

it's not like i make the rules i like in short, and those we have kept the place peaceful and clean.

if a NSFW thread will be open again, that will be the proper place to discuss vulvas (hairy and shaven) tits and members.
