How much for 3 chips programmed and shipped to Spain ?

Untracked: £1.50 (could be slightly less, not weighed chips as they have not arrived yet)
Full tracking: £6.80

 

In fact, if you could increase my order to ten, I might have an idea about an alternative use for the extra 2, will need them programming as well.

Long as you provide the files, thats fine. (obviously nothing illegal or frowned upon with this sites rules etc as you mention a different use)

Do you need all 10 programming or just the 2? (So I know costs)

 

FYI everyone, once the chip is soldered into the Dreamcast you can program them there using Dreamshell. In fact 4.0 beta 4 has a selection of BIOSes on the disc, just not Link83's.

I made the same mistake initially forgetting that people didn't read the thread over in the DC dev section where it was stated it could be done that way.

I've looked into getting a programmer that could handle these chips as well, unless you've got the cash it isn't happening.

It would be just the two that are for non dreamcast use I would like to be flashed please. Nothing illegal or frowned upon and Ill get the files to you when you need them if thats okay?

I'm very interested in those bios chip.

Sorry to ask again question, but after reading all i can on the different topics about it, i'm a bit lost.

Does one of the bios boot GD and CD of any region or do i have to make this mod?

 

That mod lets you switch between the original bios and the new hacked one.

If you didnt want to do the mod, you could completely remove the original chip - but you would need it preflashed (because you cant boot off the original, then switch to new blank chip to flash it)

 

Oh ok, and with the preflashed bios installed, it can boot games on GD and CD of any region?

 

I assume so.

From what I understand, region free is region free - regardless of the media in the drive. That is why you wont find anyone saying "it works for GD and CD!" when its just a case of "region check is gone".

But, feel free to wait for confirmation from someone whos done it.

Picked up my chips from Bad_Ad84 yesterday, havent had a chance to test them out but hopefully will when i get back from work today, shouldnt be a problem tho and will let you guys know how i get on
