    I lifted trace 44, this isn't connected though is it?

    I'd quite like to send you the motherboard in a vain attempt to fix it, if it'll cost more than a tenner though I might as well find another one. heh

    I know that Dreamshell can be flashed to the bios to boot directly by piggybacking another bios chip and running a burned software on DC. I don't like to solder and desolder 2 times, it would be superb if it comes preflashed.

    My dream is to build a console from plexiglass without a GDROM to play only homebrew+emulator games.

    DC-SWAT's site(dc-swat.ru) writes like that:
    ― Added an application to install DreamShell in bios (if you have a bios mod). Now you can load DreamShell directly without disc with bios and SD card!

    Yes, I know it is possible. You just need to provide me with the file to write to the chips and you can have what ever you like on them.

    that disc only has the following bin files:
    link83.bios
    dceu_pal.bin
    dcjp_ntsc.bin
    dcus_ntsc.bin
    hkt-0120-flash.bin
    debug_sil.bin
    sil.bin
    netcfg.bin

    it may be a little code injected into the bios?
