Hey,NetBSD is the only alternative OS on Dreamcasts.
They could need a patch for this handy device.

Could you ship me one to Europe?
The fact that we can't do a forum group purchase is killing me.

By making a group purchase we will save from shipping. these things are totally light.
I have no idea about how we can make a group purchase though... T_T

I just received mine today. Shipping was about $8 from buyfromtaobao.com. In total the whole thing cost about $22. (That includes middleman fees, domestic shipping, then postage to the US.)

It took about 45 days for the whole transaction to be completed. Not sure if it was the Chinese New Year or the amount of time the seller takes to make one that caused this. I was in no hurry so it was a surprise once it arrived.

I am going to test it out tonight and see how it performs.

Yeah, I'm curious too. My order from buyfromtaobao is apparently finally shipped (only took them two months! Last time I use that site) so I'll be able to give feedback soon as well.

Even when everything is ok, websites like that are super slow. It's even a bigger headache if they mess your order up, or something is not as described. Ie. You pay for sealed, you expect sealed.

The entire product, including the packaging, is entirely homemade - These SD adapters don't come sealed, they're closed in el cheapo blister packaging I'm guessing the guy nabbed from some other product that's similarly sized.

To be honest, any product coming from China 'sealed' shouldn't be taken too seriously. I remember most film/gaming stores had a 'resealing machine' tucked under the counter. :)

The SD Adapter is a good product, mine works fine and I've been using it a lot since I bought it via Taobao but it's no replacement for the GD Rom drive - few commercial games work properly, ditto for homebrew. I'd like to say, given time, this will change - but I'm not so sure - progress is slow and contributors to the few support websites are few and far between.

Still, it's a neat gadget to mess around with - and very cheap.
