It appears taobao is selling a few different styles now. Glad I got the one I did, cause mine make nice purple light, these have no access lights. http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=7818275499 http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=9661485967 Lol look at this thing too! http://item.taobao.com/item.htm?id=9265217565
That's why I ordered mine from ebay. It may have cost a little more but if it turns up DoA I'll just claim my money back. Better to be safe than sorry and err on the side of caution
All these devices are from the same person. It's just cosmetic changes and stuff he's trying to make to look more professional. Previously it was just plain cardboard inserts and blister packs. And of course, those images are from his Taobao account. I've talked to XCKDIY personally before about some of his work, and if he could get custom packaging made, larger volumes, etc. But to be sure, it's all a manual effort so defects will be much higher than from factory. I've also asked about getting some mini-arcade cabs and portable console conversions done, but the prices + shipping were just too high to think about it.
But, still I have one and they are PERFECT! Just as advertised. No problems here man. If you want to see my review of these, I have one on Racketboy forums, totally legitimate bro. http://www.racketboy.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=26005&start=0 $11.14 total for mine. From China to Texas...
Well, I can't speak for all, but by me, mine is perfect. I think we established already that some consoles, had to have the capacitors removed, yours was one correct?
That wasn't established, it was suggested, and I have no idea whether mine is one such DC or not but given that the LED on the thing doesn't even light up I have my doubts.
Damn bro, that sucks. I hope yours is an exception, but I wish you never had a problem in the first place mate. Don't feel bad, I am having problems with my 32gig, as sdiso's work on my 2gig, but not on my bigger card and Dreamshell. Apparently, only some small sdiso's don't work, but others do. I can however run many retail iso's on it, and emulators like NesterDC SE with 3000+ roms, but not tiny iso's.
Damn bro, I envy you! One day a BBA will be mine, one day! I just wish there was a less technical way of setting up all these variations of the PC-DC servers. I also have a revision B modem, so I would need to build a voltage regulator.
Also this list at a French site here. It seems to be more organized though. Tuxthewise was in charge of the one on Swat forums and I haven't heard from him in a while. http://gueux-forum.net/index.php?showtopic=254502&pid=1909099&st=0&#entry1909099 21 retail games are working great from his list. Hey Alchy, did you ever get your SD adapter working?
It doesn't light up when I push in an SD card. I'm arguing the case with my taobao middleman but it's probably going to cost me as much to send it back as it would to buy a new one. Honestly I'm not that bothered.
