I decided not to rig up last night, but maybe I'll do something again today if it stops dripping outside, as much as I love a light rain.

    Y'know, they make 1/4"->1/8" adapters. :D

Huh?...I was in the Mini Saturday (The van, not Maude). came to a corner, wrenched the wheel, and 'round I went, 70ish (km/h) when I last looked at the speedo, kept 'er in 4 and shot just like outta a cannon. Fun as hell, scared the shit outta everyone 'round me though......amazing what a little 998 can do, very nippy little engine.....

The next one I'll do will be a mountain road. So no high 100mph + speeds, more skill driving IF the roads are empty. Can't slide a corner if other cars will be using the road.

I know but that means spending money  Even somethin like that will cost me at least 5 US dollars in Japan.

You guys convinced me to take a quick clip of mine, had to make a youtube account to host it on aswell.

The video quality is rubbish, i didn't attempt to do the video while on the move as ideally i'd like someone else with me for that, so instead i just revved it up on the drive.

You might need to turn your speakers up to hear the exhaust properly, i really should have put it closer to the exhaust than i did or made the clip abit louder.

    Anyway heres the video.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c91aB7T2iEM

I had to conver the video to MPEG, please excuse the text as i didn't get a registered version just the first free one i found lol.

It has such a nice deep roar while on the move, especially when you stick your foot down and to be fair it goes like hell, just can't wait to carry out some future plans.

Anyway i'll try and get some better videos in the future if anyone is interested, just the best i could do at this moment in time.

    Cheers all.

EDIT: for anyone who actually cares, heres how the car currently looks.

    Haha Windscreens are for losers!
My best car was rear engined, rear wheel drive, no ABS, no Traction control, no power assist steering. Nothing.

    mmmmm chrome

    650cc engine good for 70MPh.
Not good for doing 10 hours in one hit.
Had it rigged up for filming but was nicked (sniff) before I could do any.

i also love my VW T4 2.5TDi (BRIGHT YELLO) just fun to drive no ABS in it.
My last proper car was a 1.7TD cav called Taz. Loved it we used to play skittle with wheelie bins down alley ways. Amazing for J turns and what not.

I absolutely love driving. Every once and a while I'll just go out for a joy ride of sorts. Do a bit more aggressive shifts, a little faster than I'd normally go, you know the usual fun stuff while driving :)

There's always time to be fucked. No worries. Actually when I'm pissed off I spend the time telling all the slow people to get the fuck out of the way  Yeah, slow drivers piss me off.

So yeah, even if we couldn't see any cool driving you got the chance to blow off a little steam. You're still young mate, things always seem like they're going no-where at that time in life. I know, I went through it too. Now though I'm an old fucker at 33 (almost 34) who want's to be young again :p

Made another vid last night. Compressed the long-ness into short-ness by cutting to some sped-up shit at the end, but then I need a soundtrack for that... Which is the hard part. I've got plenty of stuff I want to use but I don't want to use anything copyrighted, which forces me to pick from my own crap... Tough!

Finishing it up now, I guess. And that's after doing another semi-unrelated 'film' thing... which I guess I'll put up, too.

It's weird, knowing there's absolutely no reason to be spending time on this crap, except in that it's fun to go through the motions and occupies my evening a little better than... "nothing at all" would.

OK. I decided the first one wasn't really necessary.

Roads in greece are nothing really like what you've got there!!

Our roads are filled with potholes, manholes, bumps, patches, sand, oil, any type of hazard, cats and dogs (there's a lot of them by the road on major routes unfortunately..) and who knows what else!

Regarding the mini.. yes, the engine should be good enough for its weight, and its weight isn't all that much compared to my shitty car..which means it can handle quick turns much better :crying:

Manual in an open road is the only way to enjoy driving, that or a empty parking lot, but that's just messing around, you're not going anywhere...

City traffic, which takes 90% of my driving time, IS FUCKING HELL! potholes everywhere, fucking douches in cars they dont even know how to drive (or whats under the hood) and the fuckers in the bikes that try to kill themselves against my fucking car, the list is endless...

Anyway, I've driven DSG, and is not so bad, and that delay thing is BS, the latest gearboxs can do the math faster than any human, ever.

My dream car is the GT-R, even with the whole faulty-tranny due to launch control issue, too bad it went north of $80K, I need a job that pays at least that much a year just to finance one of those.

I may settle for a RX-8, if gas stays at this price for a while.

Too bad the scircocco is staying in europe, I like that one. On the other hand, the MINI S its pretty cool too, but I'm not paying that much for it...

Ooh, very moody. I like it! Some nice shots in there!

Actually, I've got a true classic story for you and I swear it's 100% true!!!

So tonight the missus and I go out to a swanky lardydar restaurant to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary. The restaurant's car park was full so I was told to park my car in the center area then to pass my keys to the reception so that they could move it in case somebody wanted to get their car out. So in to the restaurant we go. We're told that we'll have to wait for 30 minutes (nothing strange about that in Japan) so I hand over the keys to my car then the missus and I go out for a walk.

20 minutes later we come back to the restaurant and what do I see? 5 guys trying to push my car out of the car park!! The guys included a chef, restaurant manager, parking attendant and two customers. I was so pissed off yet so pissing myself laughing at them. They couldn't even push my Subaru up a very slight slope! I went over asking what the hell they were doing and do you know what they said? They said "We're very sorry sir but another customer wants to get out of the car park" So I say "Why are you pushing my car?" They say "Because we don't know how to drive it!" At this point I couldn't help but laugh out loud in front of them. Not 1 single person could drive a manual transmission and to make the story even funnier not one of them knew how to start the engine in order to make it easier to push!

So pissed off yet so fucking funny.
