Ive gotta sell my car unfortunately (need something with slightly better mileage, not that its terrible but still). Love it all the same http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v450/Borman/?action=view¤t=MVI_0308.flv
Yeah, Subaru do the Sports Wagon STi as well but not WRX. that's only available in the Saloon / Sedan form. I bought the Wagon because I needed the sapce for taking parcels to the post office plus I travel a bit so the extra space is always needed. Best of all I change the back in to a bed when I go out drinking and can't drive home until the next day. Like a home but drives like a monster. Also got a DTS surround sound entertainment system in there with Pioneer speekers. Oh, I'm plastered right now too. 1 liter of beer so far with more to come. Was hoping to get my leg over but as always the wife has fucked off to bed. Bloody typicalOH: Oh man, an 80's Audi!! fantastic car and one that you could say brought real rally style cars to the everyday man. Even if it was very expensive when it was released. yakumo
Its not the Quattro, but the rarer (at least here) Coupe GT. Ive actually seen one other 80's audi around here, but its been parked in relatively the same spot for the past year or more. And its gold, so not as appealing. This thing cost 20,552$ back then according to the sales receipt that I have, which is insane.
Well, my lack of income (and subsequent true lack of money, overdrew my account aparently the other day) had put a damper on my driving pleasures. Bummer! Actually, fuck that. I still drive aimlessly every damn night. From 24/hr parking lot to parking lot. I like to think it's one of the few things keeping me sane right now.
It was very foggy tonight. My favorite! Windows down, blasting some Clark EP I hadn't heard before: Bliss! And then comes the 24-hour-taco-shop burrito! And then home for my Top Gear torrent to finish. What a great night.
I was out last night as well. Sitting next to the coast windows up because it's bloody freezing out, eating 2 Mc Chicken burgers (F*ing delicious I kid you not!!), hot coffee and watching Scrapheap Challenge. Didn't get home until 2am. No pictures though Yakumo
Ahhh! That's a damn good idea, I should bring a laptop with me and watch some me some shows. Scrapheap Challenge was awesome... the first few seasons of it, at least. Then again, I can't think of any places for me to park my car for any extended period of time and not get bothered. I'm sure all parking lots are under surveilance and that's a little... scary. "What are you doing, sir?" "I'm... watching a show?" "Get the fuck out of here." "...k..." All the parks close at dark or as late as 10ish. That only leaves my driveway, and that's pretty much a failure, but not out of the question. Or the lot behind my brother's house... Hmm... I'm going to go out again in a bit, after the sun has come up. I sorta woke up in the late afternoon today (not even from drinking late or anything, oddly) and definitely won't be sleepy for quite a while. Assuming I don't pass out on accident and then sleep through my class.
Aren't there any quiet streets that you can park down or any placed that truckers park up for the night? We have loads of such places in Japan. I guess I'm lucky in that respect. Yakumo
There's streets, yes. In fact, on one shit night I had last week I camped out on some residential street with the radio on comfortably... I'm just afraid of being illuminated by a laptop in the middle of the night (hell, I could just dump some stuff on my PSP... hmm!). Beyond getting accosted by the police, it's gotta be safe, too (it'd be fine if it was a bit shady as long as my attention wasn't consumed by entertainment. A truck-stop (or something used as one) is a good thought, definitely. It'd make for a pretty sweet picture: truck, truck truck, truck, hatchback, truck, truck...
Ah, yes I forgot that you're in the US. Thank God I don't have the worry of being attacked by some nut case while parked up. My biggest problem are the police being nosey sods. Putting stuff on to your PSP is a great idea. I watch stuff on my phone when out at night because the LCD screen on the navi is way too big so it lights up the whole cabin when watching a movie on it at night. I'll tell you what. I'll take a night vision video of the place I hang out at when I what to go for a drive and park up. The bummer is that while my video camera can do cracking 1080p video it's night vision mode is more like a frame by frame stop motion show. Yakumo
Commentate! Here's the same spot as the last phone photo but in the morning. Bah, traffic! Of course that handrail isn't actually crooked, it's the crap phone picture! This bridge is over a big piece of water... I dont remember what it actually is, on a map, other than we call it "the big ditch". I think the coasts are actually trash mounds? Looks fine, definitely. When it rains like a bugger this thing is spectacular to look over.
No pictures today or probably not until the weekend but here's a shot from Google Maps. The map image is about 1.5 years old. My house isn't even on it since it was only built about 8 months ago. Yakumo
New video coming in an hour or so. I've sort of fixed the audio issue I had with the last video. This time I've used in car recorded audio mixed with outside audio to give an alround better sound in Stereo. The original video file is an M2TS 1920x1080 HD video with Dolby Digital audio file but that's way to big to store on my server and you'll need a powerful PC to run it. So I've down sampled it to DVD format which has kept the image pretty much spot on. Just mixing the audio now so the video will be with you soon. For now heres a few bad quality jpegs from the original HD video. Yakumo
The video is now online. Running time is 9:48 at 720 x 480 resolution. The file size is 254MB. Get it from here - http://www.segagagadomain.com/drive2.avi If anyone is interested I can convert the original 1920 x 1080 video to avi. It will lose some quality but will be better than what I currently have. The files size will be massive though I'd guess. Yakumo
