Ahhh! That made my day. Also helped fuel my want to get out of crumby Kansas!

For some reason it opened in 4:3, but nothing I couldn't fix/force with the player.

The cam mic definitely picks up the right sounds, mine has the tendency to get TOO crispy, picking up unnecessary creaks and rumbles.

In Japan, do they say "impressa" or "impret-za"? Or...?

Yeah, sorry about that. For some reason when it was converted to avi the ratio when odd. It's not too bad in Windows media player mind you. It sort of squashes it down. The full HD version wouldn't have that problem.

yeah, I actually mixed the back mic and the camera's mic to get the best sound. The back mic on it's own was pretty bad. The mic on the camera is really good. Took it to a concert a few weeks back with some fantastic results. Even has a zoom mic when you zoom in the image.

Neither. they have some odd way of saying it which is why I don't know the correct way. Another car I couldn't pronounce for ages was the Toyota Prius because the Japanese say PRU-RI-US. I had no idea it was pronounced Pri (as in Pie) until Top Gear said the word.

    Makes sense.
Youtube scrounging brings up "impuressa". Eh, I'll pass. :icon_bigg

I recorded the other night, but haven't decided whether I want to upload anything yet, as I'm pretty sure I ran a red light. I blame the new 2-lane turn lanes (so there's no regular unprotected, yield, on-green left turns). And it was 4AM. And no traffic, except the guy that I could have hit if I were a little stupider.
    So... we'll see. Haha.

If you want to see a culsterf*** take West street. Three of my friends turned onto on coming traffic. The cones are all misplaced so people start moving into each others lane and not to mention the two way traffic is on a two lane road meant to go in one direction so people are getting confused. Also one of the turn lanes lead into the road with street torn completely out because the cones keep going missing. Also no harm no foul this place is dead at 4AM I used to do donuts on thirteenth st.

PS: Edit out the near wreck lol.

Yeah, that place is SCREWED. A few months ago on my way to Tacos Lopez, I saw a car that had went off the edge, stuck about 3 feet down in the construction below. Luckily Rene's is closer so I generally go there.

At least GameXChange is north of all that crap. As is the taco place, technically... so I guess I should probably take Zoo Blvd over next time and come up from the top. *facepalm*

GameXChange smells like ditch weed and "front door open" = punch self in face. I used to go there when I was younger for PSX imports and such but the place has nothing to offer now since its competition moved in a few blocks away. That and the $5 for your brand new 50 dollar game never cut if for me. Brings back memories of the bootloader disc for PSX which allowed me to play ultimate battle 22 as a kid. Jump for joy on that.

PS: Now you got me hungry I was about to go out and find a 24 hour taco place but then I checked my wallet. Man I'm bored when I have no work the next day -_-

I've got class at 11:30 but considering I slept about 40 of the past 48 hours, I doubt I'll be sleeping any time soon.

FRONT DOOR OPEN sure is a killer. I want to work at the Maize RD GXC, it seems like the same dude is in there working and playing games all day by himself.

I don't like the West street location so much, there's one guy that works there that can be pretty cool but also sometimes pretty phony.
The other employees can suck my ass. I bought Wipeout 3 from them and didn't check the disc until I got home, and noticed I got a copy of Wipeout inside. I went back, explained the situation, and they tried to tell me that because the E in wipeout was a 3 (wip3out), that it was the third one, and I was stupid because they had another copy of Wipeout, and the disc was different than the one I got. I was like WHAT THE FUCK I OWN THIS GAME ALREADY. THE DISC YOU GAVE ME IS THE ORIGINAL, NON-GREATEST HITS VERSION AND THE OTHER ONE YOU HAVE IS GH. WIPEOUT 3 HAS A BLUE AND WHITE DISC, YOU DON'T THINK I DIDN'T CHECK THAT ON THE INTERNET WHEN I NOTICED THE PROBLEM??? Basically embarassed me in front of other customers and I said "Whatever." and left.
So I went in the next day when the cooler guy was working and got my refund. [edit: store credit -_-] Hah.

I bought Gyromite from them the other day (the Maize store) knowing (with my keen eyes  ) that it had a famicom converter inside (though I've got a Fami, so it's useless to me... probably just ebay it). The guy said "You know, you need ROB the Robot for this game". "Yeah, I've got two." "Oh.... You want to sell one?" "Hell yes, I do."

I need a damn job. Preferably somehting I'm good at, or something mindless. I guess that's the same thing.

Mmmm, no that's Central and... I235? By the goodwill (about a mile or so west of West street) and... I235 or I135 or whatever the hell that place is. Just east of the big ditch. A mileish east of Ridge. Them and Tacos Lopez (north West street, just south of GXC) are 24h.

I know how to get there I just got my streets confused. That coffee place that you passed by a family member used to live back in that housing district. It looks like a nice neighborhood but my family members car got broke into like 4 times back there by that school over there.

Aww, man. Why block out the red light running. It's not as if the pigs will come and track you down. They can't prove it was you driving now. :) Looking forward to the next vid. maybe do a daylight one so we none US citzens can see what it's like.

There isn't anything here but like 3 tall buildings with lights. Maybe I will do one of me driving downtown.

Hah, all I did was slowly move ahead a few feet, notice the guy coming at me wasn't stopping, so I stopped, waited, and went through.

Pfft, if I did a daylight one then you'd have to see this grubby city!
I think I might have work to do tomorrow, so I'll squeeze it in on the commute or something. I'll be taking the highway across town so that'll be neato. A decent view for some shit here, except that stuff that's close to the highway because then only the westbound traffic can see over the edge. :D

Driving is fantastic. being able to go when you want, where you want is fantastic. It's not about looking 'cool' (I think aftermarket mods to cars look completly stupid 98% of the time), and its not about playing music stupidly loud to the discomfort of other people; its about enjoying the many things people have said in this thread (like Yakumo in the second post). Nor is it about going fast, I respect the speed limits; these are rules imposed upong you that you agree to every time you drive your car.

I would never give up driving. The thought of driving an automatic somewhat disgusts me. A clutch gives you a lot more interaction with the car.
