I can see FFXV being multi-platform but KHIII? nah i dont see that happening. They would of announced a release for KH1.5 for 360. To me i feel square games are meant to played on PS and GoH is right.

Not sure what your "1 game" is. I mean, 2013 will be OK for the Wii U: DKCR 2, Pikmin 3, and Super Mario 3D World will all be great. But early 2014 is looking pretty sharp with Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros., and Bayonetta 2. Then you got Fire Emblem x Shin Megami Tensei and the new Monolith games... the latter of which looks amazing and the former of which just sounds good.

Wii U will be good. Just a shame none of their new stuff seems to utilize the gamepad at all... that's a real head-scratcher. A new Metroid/Metroid Prime seems like a no-brainer for the thing.

Apparently the PS4 is much easier to develop for than the PS3 was. The PS3 was notoriously difficult to develop for acoording to some developper interviews i read. Which definitely turned the indie and homebrew scene away from it.

Maybe this time the cool shmups and Cave games will be on the Playstation and not the Xbox.

Microsoft already announced the Xbox One in Brazil, worldwide launch, for R$ 2.199

Sony will probably announce the price in Brazil tonight, at the Sony Latin American E3 conference

The problem is to find the Survival Edition later on. Anyway, i can just buy the regular version on launch day here. There's even some online stores that are selling with great prices (cheaper than the USA sometimes). The problem is the Sony DADC Brazil quality. Cheaper print quality on the game disc and cover, low quality bluray case,... I hate that.

Edited: Someone at Uol Jogos managed to get the brazilian release. Not only is subpar quality like i said, but also doesn't have internal art. Cheap bastards!

I prefer paying more if it means i'm getting the quality i expect. Even if i can't get the Survival Edition, i'll later buy the imported version from US or Europe. Thanks to region free, i have games from USA, Europe, Japan and Asia.

I knew the launch price but I thought they haven't said anything about the release date. So, it's good to know it will be released on the same day.

I didn't even know Sony was doing a Latin American conference. Do you know if some website is going to stream it?

I don't see how importing from the US couldn't be cheaper.

Assuming $400 console and $120 postage, even a ludicrous $300 in customs duty would make less than that.

The Xbone costs $399 plus $36.98 for shipping (I thought it was strange this price, but ...) this gives a total of $536.97. But because of brazilian taxes Amazon charges $510.77 to pay for them so that the product arrives earlier. If the taxes charged by the government are less than what Amazon charged me, they give me a refund but usually the taxes are correct.

    Jack Tretton interview:

"PS4 Used Game Restrictions 'Up to Publishers'"
    http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/06/11/e3-2013-ps4-used-game-restrictions-up-to-publishers

Sony has confirmed that the digital rights management of PlayStation 4 software will be up to third-party publishers. Speaking on GTTV, Sony's Jack Tretton stated, "The DRM decision for third-party games will be up to publishers."

This clarification comes one day after Sony's E3 press conference this week, where Tretton stated that the PlayStation 4 "won't pose any new restrictions on the use of PS4 gamers." He continued, "We believe in the model that people embrace today with PlayStation 3."

Publishers of PS4 games, then, can do what's already done on existing PlayStation software: Limit or lock content behind online passes or redemption codes (or opt out of restrictions altogether).

    -------

So, EA, Activision, Codemasters and Capcom, it's your turn. Let's see how you embarass yourselves.

PS: For discussion purposes, remember that the PS3 had the option for region locking, Sony left that decision to the third parties. And to this day, only Atlus did the stupid move to region locking Persona 4 Arena.

Man, Nintendo's E3 was just sad...a handful of games and one fossil for the Wii U, most of which don't even come out until next year. Mega Man in Smash Bros. is supposed to be news? Whoopty-doo, they must've been really desperate. Don't have any hope for Mario Kart 8 either considering MK Wii was complete shit.

You should, got mine today and after E3 it seems even more like the right choice. Wii U had a chance to redeem itself, but didn't.

Nintendo's conference was ok since they included Donkey Kong Country and Smash Brothers. The Wii U Mario game was a disappointment because it just uses assets from the 3DS Mario Land (which are recycled from Galaxy I think). In fact when I was watching the trailer video I thought it was a 3DS game until it said Wii U at the end.

They should have announced a price drop on Wii U. At their current price the PS4 is a more reasonable choice for only abit more.

Smart move for Sony to leave DRM in the hands of the publishers. It will be the publishers screwing us if they decide to implement DRM, not Sony. Well just have to vote with our wallets and not buy from publishers who may decide to do it.

Pretty much as I anticipated, and since Sony has a good number of 1st party developers amongst whom there are some class-act games and franchises.

Furthermore, not all publishers are quite ready to jump on the MS/EA bandwagon - see Ubisoft's head comments in an earlier CVG article. Add to that, that 3rd party developers can not be assured that PS4 owners will all be connected to the internet (thus limiting the means of verification), they will either have to make it very clear on the game box that an internet connection is required (a la PC games), or drop it altogether. Though I suppose they could use printed codes and perhaps embed a limited amount of activations on the BR disc. I doubt very much that will receive any form of warm welcome from their customers overall.

MK7 was incredible though, and MK8 looks more like MK7. Still, blue shells break the games.

No... Super Mario 3D Land mostly used assets from SMB3, not Mario Galaxy.

And SM3DL is the best Mario game since Galaxy (hell, maybe even better than Galaxy), so the Wii U Mario following the tone it set is more than welcome by me.

How could it use assets from a 20+ year old NES game?

You don't like Bayonetta and I do. While the game play trailer people sent me was well more of the same It doesn't seem like it's that ONE GAME anymore. UNLESS it has the crazy amount of Sega/Nintendo fan service the first one had.

Sonic Lost world I can get on 3ds, SSB I can get on 3ds plus Project X Zone and Shin Megami Tensei IV (a game you and I actually GASP AGREE ON) Plus the 3DS has Shinobi, That Princess thingy that is like Guardian Heroes, Sonic Generations with levels not in the console version, DOA Dimentions, Tekken, Ridge Racer, SSFIV, Blazblue,
Shovel Knight will be on 3ds all the Mega Man games, a shit load of DS games I have yet to play.

Yeah the 3DS is THE nintendo console to have. Which is a shame I'm rooting for the WII U.

Airship levels, Tanuki Suit, enemies, many levels look like SMB3 levels in 3D. In fact, the whole idea behind the game was that it was supposed to be a 3D SMB3 (sans Koopa Kids). Were you asleep when the game came out or something?

Horribly horribly underrated game. Seriously one of the best on the system. If you love old school gaming, Shinobi is a must.

Fixed. 3DS is the best thing out right now regardless. Better than 360, PS3, PSP, Vita, Wii U, Wii... whatever. It's just a damn fine console. And to think, a mere 2 years ago everyone on this forum (and on the 'net) was predicting it's doom. It was to be the next Virtual Boy no less.

    Ah, fun times.
